Alan Wake Goes to Hell (aka Silent Hill Downpour) looks pretty awesome.

The "transfarring" thing is interesting, but I'm not about to buy separate versions of a game for two different systems. Unless, of course, they do like the movie studios' digital copies and include the portable version with the home version for a small premium (or none at all).

OH yeahhhh!!! Metal Gear HD... Kind of sucks though that the first one isn't being redone, it was my favorite one, although at least more people can play some Snake eater as it's a marvelous game.

Our little metal gear is leaving the ps3 nest /sniff

Yeah, I wondered why they aren't doing that one. I guess it's because it's still available and playable on all PS3s, but still...

The hell? Why would Konami go early? Stupid Konami.

MGS on 360. Interesting.

It's Monday already in Japan.

"It's as if Lady Gaga made a video game." - OXM :whofart: wtf?

Yes, it looks slick. I'll check it out, but the gameplay seems like it might be stale already after games like DMC, Kingdom Hearts, Ninja Gaiden, God of War, Darksiders, etc, etc, etc. I mean, it doesn't look like the gameplay matches the look, like they claim.

Neither the Metal Gear nor Silent Hill HD collections are including the original game. Weird.

I think both of them being on PSN has something to do with it.

Yes, but these collections are also on 360.

Which would preclude them from being on 360 as well so as not to have two different versions.

Empty white space does not equate badass to me. We'll see.

Is it me or is the level of excitement for this year's E3 just not that high?

i'd say the hype is probably more last year, but that's because everyone was showing off something new. this year, it's basically just the project cafe. although, that tv thing on xbox live sounds interesting. hope to hear more about that.

It's certainly not sub-forum worthy.

and if bioware is smart they'll put this on 360 and ps3! Easiest way to knock WOW off the number one spot of mmos.

If they were smart they would do this, but so far MMORPGS have not done well on console. I think this is due to the few titles available. I also think if they were smart Blizzard should have ported Diablo to console, but there are rumors this may happen with 3.

I thought the prevailing wisdom was that console gamers wouldn't accept subscription-based games. Or is this not going to have it?

From what I've seen of TOR it just wouldn't work on a console, same as WoW. Just too complicated control wise, and it wouldn't work with a normal controller.

Package it with a mouse and keyboard. That's what they did with dreamcast when phantasy star online came out. I know that ps3 already supports ms&kb. Not sure about Microsoft though...

Re: The Official E3 Expo 2011 Thread (June 6-9, 2011)

Most console gamers aren't going to use a mouse and keyboard though. They're not really comfortable to use unless you have a table or desk to set them on, and most gamers want to kick back on a couch or recliner.
