I hope there's a nuke going off every 12 minutes.

Let me guess, A handfull of missions with different characters, online play with a bunch of maps, and maybe a another game type for multiplayer.

People are such sheep. Every year a new CoD game comes out, it makes gazillions, and then the next one releases and they forget all about it.
I for one will not be pre-ordering this.
Instead, I will buy it on release day

Good point. Madden= each new year a new roster, and one or two small improvements.
CoD= each year a new era (Cold War, Modern Warfare, etc) and a new kill streak.

Is this the modern warfare that's supposed to start charging a monthly fee for online? I'm not a fan of these kinds of shooters but i think it would be cool to have one giant open world map like the entire city of new york for example.

Wow as simple of a statement this is....I never even though of it like that but it's definitely dead on.
I honestly think after Black Ops (which I loved).....I'm done with COD..especially considering how much I didn't care for MW2 after a while.
Battlefield looks great though this time out but I will prob wait a bit if I decide to purchase that one as well.
Back to MW3....I just don't think enough time has passed for them to really release anything fresh for the series. While I could be dead wrong on that, I don't think I am.

CoD, for me, is reliable entertainment at the end of each year so I'm good with it
I bitch about lack of originality this gen but for some reason I give this series a giant pass on that complaint.

There better be a mission involving an incursion into a Pakistani compound to kill an unnamed high-value target while he is givin' it a grab watching islamo-porn.

I actually wouldn't mind if Russians took out the Financial District of NYC. If it meant the end of all those Wall Street douches, Morgan Stanley/Freddie Mac/Fannie May/Lehman Brothers CEOs then I'll happily play for the other side.
