I use the AK47 too, although currently I'm just messing around with a bunch of different weapons for giggles.

Obey (still one of the best user names on this site) - you should try the Type 95 with Kick enabled -> people are now hated for using that gun.

I played around with it, and yes, the two hit kills you can get with that thing are ridiculous. I've just never been too big on burst only weapons, especially on smaller maps. At least with the AK, I can spray the crap out of someone if they surprise me in close situation.

I'll probably use a token on the AK, MP7, and assassin once it's time to prestige.

The Type 95 is just way too overpowered, for everyone except me I guess. Every time I die from it it's one shot, two at the most. Me I can get 4 hit markers with the thing without a kill. I just don't get it.

Considering the Type 95 is so powerful WTF is up with the M16. I loved this gun in previous CODs (couple it with an ACOG scope and it is a sniper rifle on steroids) but it is total shit in MW3.

I've decided I want to use a token on The Stinger. I always keep a class to shoot down enemy air support and I hate waiting until level 40ish to unlock the best weapon for taking down air support.

I did the same. In fact most of my classes use the Stinger as a secondary weapon because I hate UAVs in the air, and with the Stinger I can shoot down 2 in one life.

This was my original plan but I decided against it. I figure I can just switch to Blind Eye and not even have to worry about air support. Air support is a pain in the ass to find on half of these levels and I end up getting killed while try to find it half the time.

I just swtiched over to the CM901 again...much better - the type 95 may be powerful but in all honesty....after the updates they did to the gun, it's no longer as effective (mainly my reason for wanting to switch) - I have to work a tad more with the CM but I am doing much better now.

Looks like I'll be using a token on the portable radar. I played a free for all game yesterday on Lockdown and went 29-6 (which is great for me considering I have a 1.02 kd). It probably helped that no one in the game was using assassin or counter UAV.

So I just started playing this a few days ago and am routinely getting my ass handed to me in Mercenary matches.

Question: Someone earned the top score (over 3000 points) in a capture the flag contest with 1 kill, no assists, and 14 deaths. How did that happen?

And how do people earn a couple thousand points higher than me even though I'll have a similar number of kills? I'm usually at the bottom even with 12 or 13 kills with 800 or so points while everyone else is in the thousands.

Help me suck less, please.

The reason why he was racking up point is probably because he was playing the objective effectively. Flag captures and defends count for way more xp than killing enemies. Same goes for the other objective game types. You are rewarded for playing the objectives as opposed to camping or slaughtering the opposing team.

Or he was a fucking booster. I played a match of Kill Confirmed where a guy had 1 kill, 64 deaths and was calling in chopper after chopper. I hate that shit.... what fun is that?

When I play Kill Confirmed, I usually finish in the top 2-3 even if my kills don't get me there because I'm a 'runner' for tags.

don't forget you can watch a video of that match after and see what that person did...I learned a lot that way, and our group found some boosters that way and reported them...

unless you have played a lot of games since then the video of it should still be on your xbox/ps3..

one guy in our group regularly has a K/D ration of .5...and yet he is always top 3 on scores...we play mostly objective based games..

^^ Good point... I didn't watch the video and it was about two weeks ago. The guy was clearly cheating... to go 1-64 yet have over 4000 score? It didn't make sense.

Reported my first cheater last night.

Entered a game that had begun about a minute prior and literally could not take two steps upon spawn and respawn without being decimated by airstrikes. The "winner's" stats? 40 kills, 0 deaths. Watched the video (thanks foxdvd!) and saw that the guy was huddled behind a barrier calling in strikes from the second the match began.

I'm sure this was discussed upthread, but how does that even happened?

I killed a camper on my team yesterday.

He was on the other team the first few games and he was camping like crazy. You know the kind that don't move from their spot until you kill them. I killed him way more than he killed me but it still pissed me off on general principle. So when he was on my team and I found him in one of his spots I threw my Care Package marker at his feet and the package landed on his head killing him dead.

Sounds like hackers are looking to cheat the game. I'm glad you reported them - they ruin the game.

Some other random advice on improving your game - Don't run down the middle of the map. Stay to the outside looking to the map interior.
Don't sprint - if you ever get a chance to look at some of the better players online they hardly ever sprint in TDM or FFA.
Aim down sites as you round corners - less time to raise your weapon if someone is around the corner
Change your button layout to tactical and try that out. Ducking and going prone is better than accidental knife sweeps.
Don't chase someone to get a revenge kill. You will be killed by someone else.

I know people tell me to use tactical, and I hate when I accidentally knife swipe, but I never give myself the chance to get used to tactical. I like having the knife button at the ready.
