Any ideas on how to get that 4 full bars? I've been running 3 bars on most of the games I've played and I can't figure out why. Running a good Charter connection and haven't had problems in other games before...even MW2.

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (PS3, 360...)
I have come to realize there are certain truths about CoD that we just have to deal with:
There's always going to be someone better than you whether it's true and they play 24/7 or they just think they're better.
There will always be someone with some type of "joint" or "420" or "stoner" in their name in your party or against you.
Nobody will ever kill you legitimately. You will always claim you shot them first.
There will always be some kid (or someone using the voice changer) in the party that says "fuck" a few times for no reason. "Fuuuck, I have school tomorrow." "Fuuuucker with that gun."
Someone's cell phone will always ring.
Someone's dog will always bark.
Someone will always be playing music and/or breathing hard.
Someone will always have their volume up too loud so you hear everything twice. "Enemy UAV in the air. Enemy UAV in the air."
Someone will always talk about how much better this is than Black Ops or World at War, and how much they loved MW2.
Someone will always go around knifing everyone and either be too good at it, or shitty at it, and leave the party.

Online idiots aside, I finally like COD MP again! The Support Strike Packages are a godsend for people like me who can manage to get a decent number of kills, but not without dying a few times. Since a death doesn't reset your killstreak, I can actually make a significant contribution to the team by tagging people with the remote drone, dropping vests, or bringing up a UAV. This one change makes the MP so much more enjoyable for me.

Don't forget the racists. I actually played for a few hours yesterday before someone dropped the N-bomb (accompanied by an F-bomb). Stay classy, Xbox Live!

The remote drone is a lot of fun, and tagging people is almost as fun as killing them for me. Plus it's worth more if they get killed since you get 100xp for tagging and another 20xp when they get killed.
However it's very hard to get to those support killstreaks that take 18 kills using something like the drone since you spend time tagging that you aren't getting kills.
The fake care package has been fantastic for me so far as well. More often than not I'm getting double and triple kills with it since people often fight over care packages.

The fake care packages are easy to spot. If you see a guy throw one and run, it's probably fake. The other team always picks mine up, though.

Beat the campaign in 5 hours or so, good story, but too many endless waves of enemies.
I didn't like MP, figured no way I'll buy it (was borrowing a buddy's), but then I played Spec Ops horde mode...that alone might get me to buy the game. Tons of fun, lots up upgrade options, lots of different maps. And I was playing solo, with a team it could be great. Is it still 4 players max in horde mode?

really? I could have swore it was only 2 players on that as well...
I am 60% done with the game...I can't help myself, I am having a blast...enemy spawns do have one effect on the game I don't like..it does not make veteran hard at all, it just makes you find the "right" path to push forward and not actually use your skill at shooting..a little frustrating at times to find in the middle of a shootout you are trying to sneak forward, but it is not as bad as the older games in the series...
I would say this is only a small step harder than MW2 on veteran...but VERY small...and one of the easier "hard" modes this year..

I really like the campaign and I think it is the best since COD 2.
The mp is okay and I am sure I will warm up to it. I just don't understand why they decided to apply diapers after MW1. MW2 and MW3 are just so noob friendly when MW1 was a near perfect game.

Finished campaign last night, not as good as others but I had a hell of a time playing it, and I found it to be much better then Battlefield 3's campaign. None of the levels outstayed their welcome, some were shorter then I expected actually, but I kind of wished we had more variety in the missions, like MW2 had. I missed a few achivements here and there so I will go back and try to grab them.
Played multiplayer for a few hours, it was fun, but I quickly grew tired of the amount of assholes you encounter online.

I wish they had cutback on the killstreaks. It's gotten out of hand. The second half of every match seems to turn into a killstreak-fest. The endless stream of copters and bombs ruins a good game.

Probably bad hosts. As time goes by the crappys hosts will get weeded out. Hopefully they can improve things through patches too.

I think every one of my classes now has a stinger as my secondary weapon. People didn't use UAVs all that often in MW2, but in this game I find myself using them, and everyone else does as well. Plus, taking one down is also an addition to your killstreak.

fwiw, BB dropped their price on this to $51.99, so take your receipt back and get a refund on the difference. I will probably head that way today or tomorrow.

I really am liking the specialist package. I have it set up with hardline pro, and now my first kill puts me with assassin as well, so after killing someone, or taking down a UAV, I'm already starting up my ladder, and with recon, assassin, and a silenced weapon I'm undetectable while still gaining other perks. I have hit the 7(8) kill streak quite a few times, and you really feel like a badass with all your perks unlocked.

Finished the single player...took a bit over 7 hours on Veteran...I had a lot of fun with this, even if it is the video game equivalent of a summer blockbuster movie...
Also have all the Spec Ops done on regular, and about half on vet...a few of these are going to be brutal on veteran...

Is everybody else having problems with Elite? I've tried to use it about a dozen times over the past 3-4 days. But I keep getting disconnected.

Elite crashed no long after the midnight release. Its up right now but still seems a bit unstable. They are giving everyone an extra month on their subscription and extending the deadline for founder status to the end of this month.
