Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
It's FPS, though. You still won't connect to the character in any meaningful way. Unless there's some 3rd-person option I haven't see before?

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
That's true, that's why it wouldn't need to be anything major or that in depth. You see the character when it switches to where you have to do stuff on the gamepad, I believe, like unlocking things and all of that. And besides, it would be cool seeing your created character newly transformed into a zombie coming after you if you die.

People in co-op see those characters. Is that an option on ZombieU?

Don't you still deck out your Borderlands characters? Halo Spartans?
I don't play Halo or CoD. I'm not saying it wouldn't be neat, I'm just saying that it wouldn't create the emotional bond that Brent was going for. |

Well that sucks. It was sounding like the changes made to the game were going to make it a lot better.

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
So I guess the 8 GB system only has about 3 GB of storage space after the typical formatting and OS. Sheesh. That's pretty pathetic.

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
I'm not sure I'm surprised by these. Nintendo's new consoles should be viewed as the last entry to the current gen not the first of the next gen.

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
I’m going to need Kotaku music expert Kirk Hamilton to test this but I could swear that some of the nifty Wii U music I’ve been hearing this week plays in concert across my TV speakers and the speakers on the GamePad with different instruments playing out of the different speakers. For example, I think one piece I heard put its violins on the GamePad. Most of the rest of the instruments were playing from the TV. If my ears weren’t deceiving me, that’s really cool. |
Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
so basically, it counts the pad speaker as a separate speaker (like in a 5.1 system) and they mix it like that.

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
Oh, what a dick. What's wrong with this very thread? Is it because I started it?
|
Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
No, because it's too long.

Re: Nintendo Console Announced at E3 2011 (Wii U)
