The comic is titled "The Price of Loyalty," and the newspost for that day elaborates further:

Your pet has a tiny pack, which serves as an auxiliary storage space. What’s more, right there in the upper left, there’s a gloden button - gold, because it sends your pet back to the surface to sell the contents of this pack automatically. It then returns to you, its haunches straining with coin. This is YES. Unequivocally, indubitably super yes. While he’s gone you forego his benefits, so there is a price to pay. Along with whatever mysterious fees he skims off the top, of course.

I shouldn't have to read outside the comic to understand it, man. The joke should be stand-alone!

I seriously think the joke was pretty self-explanatory. I mean, if Decker's alternative was the joke (the merchant was telling the dog one price, but shortchanging him), why wouldn't the merchant just tell the dog the price he's actually paying if the dog doesn't know any better? The comic only works if the joke is that the dog is screwing over his unsuspecting master.

I understood it just fine and thought it was quite funny.

Re: Torchlight

On another note, anyone want to get in on a Torchlight 2 4 pack with me on steam? It is 20 for the game, but if you get 4 people then it is only 15 bucks each and you get a free copy of the first one. so it is 60 for the 4 pack. I would have the 3 paypal me 15 each (I am a gold trader) and then I would pm the keys when I get them. I think you get them right away to add to steam.

3 more people up for that?

Re: Torchlight

I'd be up for that.

Re: Torchlight

Ok cool, so we need 2 more to get this party started :P

Just started playing the first one again and damn, this is what Diablo 3 should have been in all honestly. If they can get the story and such down a bit better on part 2, I can see myself playing this more than D3

I have put about 5 hours in my TL1 that I got with my preorder. It has been a blast. The game is gorgeous on the PC. I can't wait to do co-op in the sequel.

I'll toss in for the four-pack.

Re: Torchlight

I already have it, but if anyone wants to add me to steam for when it comes out I have the same screen name.

Also, I'm pretty new to PC gaming (at least in the last 15 years), do people usually just chat in game or have some sort of head sets for this sort of thing?

I wish that Thorchlight 2 was for Mac too. I'd get in on that, but my newest PC is 10 years old.

Had stents put in my pulmonary arteries and they have collapsed again :/

It's bad enough that they want me in surgery in the next few days

Fun fact; pulmonary arteries are the only arteries that carry de-oxygenated blood! The more you know!

Get well soon. There are monsters to be clicked on.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone
