Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
My skill level goes to zero all the time...happens kind of randomly but has no impact whatsoever as far as I can tell.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I think that if you quit or get kicked from a game in the middle for any reason (including accepting an invite from someone else), it puts your skill level back at 0. Presumably, they think you're trying to game the pointless system.

Yep also if you don't play for a week or longer it defaults back to zero. Once you play one full game it resets though. No biggie. I'd rather quit a spawn rape game I just joined and take the zero on skill than a hit to my KDR personally. I'm slowly bringing that number out of the abyss. LMAO!

Agreed on why to quit a game (and weighing the consequences). I'd also add I'd rather quit after getting a squad invite from a DVDTalker / Friend than stick around most games. I'll stay if I'm doing really well and I want to see how the rest of the game goes; that's why I'm glad the squad invites are good for a half hour.
Does anyone have any thoughts on designating April 29 as Vietnam Night to give people a chance to pick it up and get a little familiar? Planning ahead may get more of us in for the game.

That McD dude we were playing with on Saturday is pretty damn good. Great team guy too. Joined another one of his games on Saturday night. I stayed on a little bit after his crew left, screwing around with the Recon class when Ogs jumped in. We were so outgunned the map before that I'd made it my sole purpose to hide in douchey places and get knife kills all map. I even told him this probably wasn't the game he wanted to randomly jump into... but somehow the whole thing turned in our favor after he arrived. I stopped being douchey and actually tried to play legit with the Recon. Still sucked. I don't understand how I get sniped so freaking often and it takes me 4 shots to take anyone else down. I want to believe these assholes just have better rifles.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
I played some Vietnam thru the weekend and had a lot of fun. That map Hill 137 is just awesome, but one of the others is just meh. The only complaint I have is most people run around as a medic with an M60 and it seems way overpowered. I'm in if we want to make a night of it
Onslaught is a 4-player co-op mode against the AI. You basically move forward as a squad and capture points on the map, while waves of enemies spawn in front of you. Murray and I played a few rounds on normal mode but I would really like to test our squad on hardcore mode.

Operation Hastings is probably the best overall conquest map in the pack, and I actually enjoy Phu Bai valley as well.

FYI, I'm out of town for the night so you'll all have to Carl Gustav the other team for me.

I think I'll be on after 8:30pm-9:00pm or so on Friday night. I'm wondering if we could get between 6-8 of us together to play Squad Rush this week and then next week play some Vietnam.
Any takers?

I'll most likely be on Friday night, though it could be from anywhere between 10 - 11 CDT when I join. I'm always down for whatever. I've never even attempted a squad rush match.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)
Well, with the network down I found myself playing through the single-player campaign for the first time since the first week I picked up the game. Pretty fun and I like the "cinematic" feel to it.
Still. I'd rather do the multi-player.

I, too, have been making some progress in the single-player campaign. I never even completed the campaign before getting sucked into multiplayer with all of you.
