GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
Hey
I'm already in for Bulletstorm and thought about Hom,efront for this month buy several on my friends list has Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on their list. I know it was delayed from last year but considering a game with some high expectations with a release date at the end of the month there's not allot showing or going on. The last offical trailer or clip is from mid last year, nothing at all this year.. Usually when it gets down to the last month you start seeing more trailers and game footage but ziltch, zada, noda on GR. The latest trailer or footage is off the Wi back Oct. last year. |
Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
October 4th, 2011 - is the last release date I'd heard of.

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
Yea, I just checked over at the GR"Future Soldier site on the forums and October 4 is being mentioned. Don't understand how a game gets a full year delayed. Hate to say it but if this game goes for around Oct or later it's going to lose out competing against Gears, Battlefield 3, batman, and possibly Mass Effect 3. Oh well...back to looking at Homefront which to me is still looking good or Crysis 2..

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
GR has a big enough following that it should be able to hold its own against the big boys . l had a couple of friends who played GRAW and Rainbow Six forever .

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
I know my copy of Splinter Cell Conviction came with the beta for it......which STILL isn't out
|
Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
My friends and I still play GRAW 2 and the Rainbow games....This game keeps getting delayed, so we have all just given up on it for this year...and the focus is on Socom 4 and Operation Flashpoint for the year...

So the Amazon release date of 03/31/11 is BS?

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
GRAW is such a fantastic game, GRAW 2 as well. If this is anywhere near as good as those it will be well worth the wait.

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
I have been waiting for a new one since I stopped playing WoW about 1.5 years ago. Luckily I was in full blown WoW mode when R6:2 came out and I have been playing that alot here lately. I may try SOCOM 4 when it is released to see how bad it is (I have only heard bad things about the Beta) and to help wait until this comes out.

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
I loved me some R6... that was an almost perfect tactical shooter online -- until it was exploited and asshats ruined the MP.
But if you had a good, cooperative team, R6 was excellent. |

Re: GR: Future Soldier...what's up with it?
If Future Soldier is as good/fun as GRAW2, I will drop everything else I'm currently playing.
I lost track of how many hours I had put into GRAW2 Online/Offline  |

What was exploited? I think it being so old the asshats have gone away. I played some GRAW2 this weekend, and I love some of the play options, but RB6:LV had so much better controls. I hope GR:FS has the RB6 controls like cover, tossing a grenade with one button, swapping weapons/climbing over/opening doors more fluid and not on a little loading pop up.

I just saw at CAG that Gamestop has dropped their price on a bunch of older games and I think GRAW was one of them.
I miss playing GRAW2 and it's easily one of my favorite games. Thing is I don't want to re-buy the game, buy the DLC Map Packs and then hope that there are still people playing online. |

PS3 version is still pretty high for an older game ($19.99) but GS dropped the 360 version of GRAW2 to $5.99 used, the last time I was in my local GS.
