Crysis 2 Demo (xbox 360)

Yeah. It was my (apparently too) subtle way of telling Scott "Don't post Google-translated blurbs from random embargo-breaking Swedish websites that none of us have ever heard of when the review embargo will be lifted in a mere matter of hours and we'll all be able to find reliable reviews from reputable websites, written in English".

You could buy the 360 version, get a $50 PSN card for $20 and use those funds for a year of Playstation Plus. That's a pretty good deal for those who don't buy a lot of games online. You'll get way more than $20 value out of the service

Most of the reviews I've read cover most of my thoughts. Great graphics and very fun action. The story was pretty meh, but the length felt just right at around 10 hours if I had to guess. I did run into some AI glitches but nothing major.
I really had a lot of fun with it. Keep in mind I am so burnt out on COD and was dying for something new, so I may be more forgiving.
Next step is to play through it again in 3D.

Now the second card is pretty cheap and if you were going to upgrade already, that would probably be fine. But as a single card, I doubt you'd get desirable results for this game.
They still have the demo up on Steam. You should try that and see how it runs on your system.

That's pretty much exactly my set-up before I added a second card. That wouldn't run the first Crysis at better than 20 FPS.

Also, my monitor is 1080p, so yeah, that's a lot.

I'd read that too, but (at least in the demo), the options for video customization were minimal and I had to downgrade detail to the lower level to get an acceptable framerate. At that point, the difference over the 360 version is probably less appreciable.

5 chapters in...playing on Veteran difficulty.
Fantastic game so far. I love the stealth/in-your-face-kick-ass so far...the game blends the two elements perfectly.
It just seems like the kind of game you can play 3 or 4 times and have a different experience each time...
also, game looks fantastic, and the frame rate has been better than I thought it would be...some blemishes here and there, but my god some of the effects are amazing...

This is much better than Crysis 1 which was more a tech demo than an actual game (imo - though it had its fun parts).
I'm really digging the Hans Zimmer soundtrack (or did he only do the theme?) though I can't shake that it sounds like Inception in spots

My K Mart was out of points cards, so they gave me a $30 gift card instead.
Crysis 2 + $30GC+ $10 rewards was $60 - $16 (rewards) = $44
Lego Star Wars III $50 - $30 gift card - $10 from Crysis 2 = $10 and I got $15 more in rewards!
So for $54 I got Crysis 2, Lego Star Wars III, and $15. Good haul!

That was a sweet deal. I thought I was lucky to pick up the second-to-last 4000 point card at my local Kmart. Maybe I wasn't
Still, the difficulty my sales clerk had in just applying this deal as it was advertised in-store makes me think they would have been totally incapable in coming up with an alternative one. BTW : I ended up with $12 in credit for the purchase instead of $10, which was a pleasant surprise. I might end up grabbing Lego SW III as well The previous Lego SW game was my most played 360 game ever, if you believe 360voice.com -- I think my son had something to do with that.

Re: Crysis 2 Demo (xbox 360)
Really, I thought exactly the opposite. The original Crysis, at least the first half was an interesting open world shooter that left it up to the player to decide how they would reach the objective with interesting AI. The second half of Crysis, and Warhead funneled the player into just another linear first person shooter.
