Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
In the latest PTOM it was mentioned that Crystal Dynamics will keep the focus on puzzles and environmental challenges. But the real surprise is that they are aiming for an M rating with this game. I just hope it feels organic to the game and not a cheap gimmick.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Isn't that kinda contradictory? How do you have an M rated "puzzle" game? Cut-scenes?

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Limbo would be a good example of an M-rated puzzle game if it wasn't all in the shadows.

This game? It's rated T by the ESRB (although PEGI gave it an 18+ rating). Anyhoo, is it any good?

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
video game trailers without gameplay footage does nothing for me.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
The trailer was better than both major motion pictures combined.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
The CG in that looks great. And yeah, people always complain about not seeing gameplay footage in cinematic trailers but I never really care since gameplay footage is generally pretty boring and we usually get clips of that separately. These sort of teasers are meant for story and just to look pretty, and that's fine with me.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
I really dig the music. It's simple but effective.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Wow, that animation is top notch. Creating the cut scenes is probably more expensive than the actual game itself.
|
Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Awesome trailer.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Makes me wish they'd make the new movie like that trailer.
|
Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
I really hope it doesn't play anything like the other 360 games. They quickly became repetitive and boring.

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
Damn looking trailer.
Sony and Crystal Dynamics should get together and make a crossover game with Lara Croft and Nate Drake. |

Re: Tomb Raider (a.k.a. Tomb Raider 9)
You take Lara out of that trailer and add Drake and you would have an uncharted trailer, it's that good and that well choreographed
