The demo for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is slated to arrive Tuesday March 8th for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. The news comes in an article from USA Today which also goes into further detail on what the demo will entail.
The first five holes at one of the new courses in the game (TPC San Antonio Oaks) will be playable in the demo. Interestingly the demo also carries an incentive as those who complete it will be able to skip the Amateur Tour in “Road to the Masters” mode. Instead those who get through the demo can begin the mode on the Nationwide Tour. Additional experience points will be offered to those who “share” the demo with a certain number of friends as well.

Wouldn't you want to do the amateur tour to build up your skill points? I have no interest in spamming you guys on my friends list... unless you want me to.

Played through the demo just a bit ago and enjoyed it for what it was. Really thinking about picking this up for both systems I own; the Wii for the motion controls, and the 360 to get Augusta in awesome HD. I have to imagine that playing Augusta with a few friends and the motion controls would have to be a good time.

I'm liking the demo so far. Really nice look to the game this year. More so the scoreboards and the overall presentation is really sharp. Nice to finally play Augusta even if its only one hole in the demo. Last one for me was TW10 so im leaning towards getting this one.

Agreed about the look... it's very nice. The courses have a warmer feel to them, and the menus and scoreboards, as you said, are very sharp looking.

Is the demo for Xbox 360 and PS3? If for the latter, I have to wait until 10:00 E.S.T. tonight to download and play thanks to a scheduled maintenance for PSN that will take 11 hours.

It should be out for both systems.

Presentation and graphics were great, but the caddie addition is just so poorly implemented. I am not sure why EA keeps adding diapers to all its games. They just can't help themselves.

Yea, I was looking for a way to turn off the caddy all together. It wasn't that big of a deal. I just kept using Custom shots, rather than using a caddy suggestion.

They added a feature I really liked seeing. When you hit under a ball for backspin, the aiming circle now moves back to consider the loss of power. It'll still show the same percentage for the swing. It'll be nice having a better reference point when hitting those shots.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the caddy feature. It took me a while to figure out how to zoom in to aim the shot myself.

I noticed yesterday that Amazon is offering a $10 credit for pre-ordering any version of Tiger Woods '12 (except the PS3 CE) and offering a bonus putter that you get a code for via e-mail a couple of days after the game ships.

Trying to figure out what store to order from; Gamestop has Beth Page Black as their bonus and I can't decide if the additional course is worth having to drive to/go into the Gamestop to get it.

GS actually looks to have Turnberry as a bonus course not BPB.

I'm not loving the caddie thing either and i still haven't seen it confirmed that it can be totally disabled. That putting mode isnt my favorite also and EA has said the classic mode is gone. I really do like the demo but these things kinda put me about 50/50 on buying it.

Re: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters.
I want to know what the extra 8 courses are on the Wii version. I priced out what it would have cost me last year to make the PS3 version similar to the Wii version and it was an extra $35!
$10 extra on release day for the difference in price.
$25 in DLC: $20 for 9 courses (one was exclusive to PS3 and Xbox360) in DLC and another $5 for TPC Blue Monster at Doral. 2 courses on the Wii version were exclusive.
Not to mention that if I get the PS3 version, I'll want to get a Move controller and the Eye Toy and that's another $85. Ugh. I wish they would put the same courses on each disc and have the exclusives be DLC.
Has Nintendo or EA ever mentioned why the Wii versions don't get DLC?
