Recently Finished:
Punchout!! (wii) – A pure nostalgia game almost. The title defense mode was the most interesting addition. I don’t know if I could have beaten title defense mode without the headgear, for the last circuit.

Split/Second (360) – I really liked the racing and the variety of different modes, and I played it nearly nonstop for an entire week. But it was a love/hate game for me, it could be one of the most frustrating games ever at times, I swore multiple times the game was cheating while I was playing, and not just the rubber-banding, the Air Strike mode seemed woefully unbalanced. I finally managed to get golds on everything.

Alan Wake (360) - Great story and atmosphere, I do think it got a little repetitive by the end. I could have used a few different mechanics than going through nonstop wooded areas.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (360) – A fun return to the original POP games, nothing spectacular, but fun regardless.

Now Playing:
Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition (pc) – I’m finally almost done with this. I know some people hold these adventure games in high esteem, but I really think it’s nostalgia more than anything. It’s decent fun, but the puzzles are often obtuse, and the writing not as hilarious as it seems the fans remember. I played my share back in the day of games like Full Throttle, but I had forgotten about the puzzles. I want to try a more recent adventure game like the Sam & Max Episodes to see if they have gotten more intuitive.

GTA IV: The Lost and the Damned (360) – GTA is more boring than I remember. I’ve given up on any side missions, the bike controls are nearly uncontrollable for racing, and some of the other side missions require a huge journey to get to your destination, which you must make again if you die. I’m just playing through the story, which in this game makes the open world almost pointless.

Starcraft II almost constantly. I'm moving up the ladder and the game just gets more and more intense.

I just finished Bioshock 2 last night. I enjoyed it, but thought it wasn't nearly as good as the first. It's going to be a long wait for Bioshock Infinite.

Now thinking about tackling God of War Collection or Dead Space.
