I appreciate the new thread name as well....Thanks for not including the word "OFFICIAL" or using someones user id in the title.

For anyone worried about the undead pack like I am (zombies) being the same ol, same ol, on Rockstar's homepage they mention that they are hoping to change people's minds with the first soon to be released trailer.

just finished this game.
i don't usually like westerns, but found i liked this alot, especially the story.
did anyone find the game fairly easy?
i did not buy any weapons or equipment the whole game and managed to finish it with no problems.

Clearly you didn't try to kill a bear with a knife.

I missed this when it came out. After wading backwards 10-15 pages in the previous thread I decided to order it from Amazon. Hopefully Prime will get it to me on Wednesday - my birthday.

Hope I enjoy it has much has everyone else.

Finished this game last week. While I enjoyed it, I think the praise for it is overblown. The characters and story were great, but the gameplay left a lot to be desired. I'd give it a solid 7/10, so how it's at 95% on Metacritic with numerous GOTY mentions is a mystery to me. Different strokes, I suppose. I've since moved on to Just Cause 2, which I'm finding to be much more fun, though much more bland in the story/character department.

I've had this since launch but still haven't played a second of it. Arghhh, need to get to it one of these days...

This game was a tad bit on the easy side.

I think the praise is well deserved. However, I do agree with you that the gameplay isn't the best, but I think it is a huge improvement over Gta IV.

Gotta agree. Game was easy - especially if you left the auto aim on.

Gameplay was far superior to GTA even though it is still flawed. The high praise for it come from the story and especially from the world in general.

Ah, maybe that's the reason I wasn't as impressed as most. I've never spent much quality time with any of the GTA games, so I don't have a frame of reference as to how far Rockstar progressed with RDR.

And yes, the game was incredibly easy.

Liars and Cheats DLC trophies

JohnnyDaBull 09-17-10 12:33 PM

Re: Dead Thread Redemption: Red Dead Redemption, The Thread: Part II

PS3 gets 10 trophies while Xbox 360 gets 15 acheivements...well that sucks. Apparently Sony has a max of 10 trophies for every pack or some foolishness like that.

Enjoying the new DLC so far...even though the server keeps dropping games. SN: You know how you can join a game at the end at the results screen??? Well I did that on a stronghold and was rewarded with a silver trophy :)

I'm kind of surprised they didn't announce another double XP weekend with the release of the new DLC. I was going to purchase the thing this morning but held off because I didn't know when I'd actually get on to play now that NHL11 is out and Civ V arrived on my doorstep today. If I know I could accelerate my pursuit of Lvl 50 I'd totally pick it up for the new maps. Instead I'll just wait until/if the mood strikes me.

Last time it was double XP whether or not you bought the DLC.

I know. I didn't buy the first DLC. I was just hoping for a similar promotional bonus.

I'm declaring it right now, I believe I'm one of the top players in Liar's Dice. I don't know if ppl just don't grasp the concept or if I'm just that good :). Hit me up on PS3 if you wanna play me...
