You can fast travel to towns you've visited but not fast travel back to camp.

This is apparently the highest grossing anything over a weekend in terms of entertainment.

$725m over the 3 days. Most big games don't release on Friday, so RDR2 is in a unique position -- it didn't make as much as GTA V ($1 billion in 3 days) but that didn't release on a weekend.

Thanks. That is helpful but still annoying game-wise. I'd pay real or RDR money for a good fast-travel system.

That is absolutely incredible! Everyone expected RS to be lucky if they got half of what GTA 5 sold.

I guess we can expect the other large studios to start developing western clones.

Went hunting. Got off new horse, and was going to arm myself with a rifle. All my weapons - except my revolver are gone. Even my knife is gone.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 —> 10/26/18

This game is buggy. I really don't understand how it got perfect scores from some reviewers. Movement and interactions are clunky at best. Seems to be random which button I need to hold down to interact with things.

Reasons I failed missions last night:

-Riding a cart with other people; cart walked into a building cause I wasn't looking; cart can't back up or turn without moving forward; after a couple minutes, the game auto-killed me and said the cart was wrecked. All because I couldn't back up a foot or two.

-Had to help someone in a house. Thinking this was a game where I can approach things how I want, I climbed the stairs to the deck and tried to get in from upstairs. Locked. No problem; let's just jump off the roof and used the front door; FAILED. The game assumed I was in the building when I was outside and failed me for "abandoning" the person when I jumped off the roof to use the front door.

I used the pelt from the legendary bear I killed to make a cool hat. But apparently it's no different than all other hats. Came flying off during a fight in a mission. Couldn't get it back while in combat. After the fight and the CS was over, went back in and everything was gone from the floor. Bye hat I risked my life to get; I hardly knew you...

Beautiful game which is filled with little hidden things to find. Not saying this is a bad game but anyone who gave this a 10/10 is on crack.

Paid reviewers, very common with games

You can always get your hat back from your horse's saddle. Yes, there are some bugs.

Sure it is, check the ratings of any largely hyped game and then go look at game sites where actual players are reporting experiences like above. People constantly call out reviewers for their glowing reviews so they can add to their website traffic and twitch streams.

YouTubers aren't reviewers. They get paid by companies to talk about their games and give glowing impressions. Actual game sites which handle reviews don't get paid.

I agree with Sterling here, amazing game when it tries to be fun, but sometimes (too many times), it's attention to detail gets in the way of fun (same argument I have with certain "stories" in games that get in the way of their fun).

Which begs the question, is "fun" the ultimate goal of a videogame? I say yes, and anything that gets in the way of having fun, is an unnecessary hindrance, be it mechanics in service to "realism" or an overwrought story.

I can? Even though it was lost in a mission I did a couple of game hours back?

Yep, it stores 3 hats on your horse.

Will the bear head always be there now that I bought it? Or is it only your 3 most recent? I've already gone back to camp and selected a new outfit which came with a new hat.

Just picked up the collectors edition.

1) does it matter which disc installs first? I tossed in Disc 1 without thinking.

2) I received 2 of the same “special content” codes. Can I just post them here for whoever gets it first?

Or you could PM it to someone who asks nicely, lol. Is it just the War Horse and the Outlaw Survival kit that pretty much everyone got, or is it something else? If it's the War Horse and stuff, I don't need it, and you might be hard pressed to find someone who does.

The War Horse and Survival Kit was supposed to be a pre-order bonus, but it was included in the box for all physical copies in the first shipment.

I thought it would be different and when I entered the code the Xbox said “you already own” so I just backed out. It contains;

Bank robbery mission and gang hideout

Dappled Black Thoroughbred

The Nuevo Paraiso gunslinger outfit

Talisman & Medallion gameplay bonus

Gameplay boots, Cash bonuses and discounts

Plus get three weapon free at gunsmiths

And yea I installed it correctly lol

Not sure how it decides which 3 are stored on your horse as I haven't gotten too far into the game yet.

You choose which 3 when you are at camp and changing your clothes.

I'd take it but I'm on PS4. Feel free to give it away any way you see fit.

I’d be interested in it if it’s still available.

Lol what? Trust me, I'm the last person to defend Rockstar Games as they've become the biggest money grubbers in the business but I think you're nitpicking a little.

You back up horse carriages by holding down RB and back on the control stick.

Yes there are a few blips here an there but overall this game EASILY a 10.
