The map looks so damn diverse with all of the various landscapes and climates. I hope Mexico is still included as part of the map.

Dear god this looks awesome. They better release a PC port some day. (Probably in 3 years)

Another interesting fact I found out. Over 200 species of animals in this game!

PC has been so heavily rumored that i'd be really surprised if there wasn't a release sometime next year.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 —> 10/26/18

It depends on how long they plan on going without releasing another game.

They layered things with GTA5 over 5 years with no other IPs being released. General release on PS3/360 ... release on PS4/XB1X ... release on PC ... GTA Online.

A lot of rumors surrounding the possibility of a smaller game, like Bully 2 or a "new" title called AGENT finally being released in the next two years with GTA 6 in 2021/22.

Edit: BTW, here is a YT video covering AGENT being mentioned in GTA 5 but this was back in 2013.

And I bet have to kill one of each to get achievement. Dear god I can’t do it again. RDR nearly killed me...

Going to leave this right here ...

So far details about the story-line are scarce, but we have been treated to some bizarre info about the horse's balls, which is something.

Yup, a new report claims that the game's graphics will be so spot-on the horse's testicles will shrink in cold weather. I don't know if we need that level of realism in our games, but you have to admit that it's pretty bloody impressive.

Figured as much considering they show McFarlane's Ranch and Blackwater in the trailer.

I'm torn on this one. Not because I don't think it will be awesome, it almost certainly will be, but I just can't decide if I want to sink as many hours into it as will be necessary to finish this game. I do like to try to finish the story when I play games like this, and i loved the first RDR. I'll probably break down and get it at some point, but might wait until the holidays and hope for a sale.

My biggest concern is the eating, taking care of myself, my horse, my gang ....

I have no idea how they implement these things without it sidetracking the actual story.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 —> 10/26/18

Is my digital copy preordered from Amazon of SE release date of 10/16, incorrect? Surely, not 10 day exclusive...

I'm guessing you'll be able to cook your hunting kills by carrying a cooking pot and or a frying pan in your inventory?

I feel like timed exclusive stuff, in addition to preorder bonuses, are largely disposable and not worth the time it takes to redeem the code. Seems like it's good early game stuff, but gets replaced by better gear fairly quickly.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 —> 10/26/18

i'll take my war horse, like in the first. he was good and fast and reliably strong. loved having the perk and will stick with it in this game. The Arabian horse sounds nice and maybe more reliability than War Horse, but i don't care. i feel a good horse is very important in this game, especially right from start...

I haven't been keeping up with news other than the gameplay trailers. Do we know why this isn't getting a PC release at launch?

Probably following GTA V's path to success: sell a whole bunch on current-gen consoles, convince people who already bought it on console to re-buy it on PC with a later release, and then convince them to buy it a third time on next-gen consoles. Or maybe I'm just being cynical.

Maybe? But you also have to travel with and help take of your rather large gang throughout the game.

I'm good with mine at 1080p.
