1) Bruce Springsteen
2) Eric Clapton
3) Neil Young
Note : I chose artists who contributed to other rhythm games -- where it was within the realm of possibility that they could appear in Rock Band. They aren't suddenly going to get U2 or Led Zep tracks, though they'd be high on my list as well.

Very excited about this pack. A perfect example of a top tier band popping up in RB. Just goes to show you there's still life in the old dog. Now if only we could get VH before we have to put the dog down...

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
To be fair I don't think Aerosmith has been what you would consider a top-tier band since 1997 and their latest album tanked. But they're still like 9 tiers above Smash Mouth.

This seriously confuses me. It's a huge addition, no doubt, but why not tease it? Why stuff it in unceremoniously in between wasted RBB redundant weeks?

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I just think it's beyond the point now where they can get any kind of media attention on the game. There used to be previews and teasers on IGN and other sites when a big artist was gonna hit. Now the only people who care are the core audience, and they're mostly going to be looking at the forums/facebook/twitter anyways. The rest of the gaming populace thinks music games are completely dead, and/or wish that they were.

DLC for 2/12 (Valentine's Day special!)
Hey gang,
For all of the lovers out there this Valentine’s Day, Harmonix presents a collection of music’s greatest rock and pop ballads, coming to the Rock Band Music Store on February 12th!
Extreme’s acoustic classic, “More Than Words” – off 1990’s Extreme II: Pornograffiti – was a departure from the band’s funky rock sound, but managed to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100! As a bonus, every “More Than Words” download will include a Pro Guitar upgrade!
Originally recorded by The Everly Brothers in the 1960s, Nazareth made “Love Hurts” a huge hit in the late ‘70s, making it an international hit for the Scottish rockers. This 2009 re-recording of the track by the band brings all the feeling and energy of the original to Rock Band!
Peter Cetera’s Billboard Hot 100 number one hit “Glory of Love,” from 1986’s Solitude/Solitaire, also earned the singer/songwriter a nomination for an Academy Award for “Best Original Song” as it appeared in the film The Karate Kid, Part II!
Among REO Speedwagon’s thirteen Top 40 hits, the classic rock power ballad “Keep On Loving You” may be their most memorable, peaking at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100!
Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love,” from the English pop duo’s 1981 debut, Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, will also be available on the Rock Band Music Store on February 12th!

Comin' back in a BIG way! Damn, they're really cleaning out the closet on this stuff in between RBB rehashes.
Note they don't indicate that these will be available in a discounted pack.

Oh, man. I am in for ALL of those. I just wish they came out this week since my RB party is tomorrow night.
I noticed no mention of a discounted pack, too. Hopefully, that's just a hacky sack-related oversight.

More than Words is just acoustic guitar & vocals - no other instruments, hence the free pro upgrade.

I'm in for everything except Nazareth (note that it's a 2009 re-record). Great week!

Which is perfect, because 95% of my RB time is spent doing vocals + guitar. The other 5% will be spent playing Glory of Love on vocals + crane kicking. I really should get a wireless mic but can't afford one

Sweet, I finally get to break out my old hospital scrubs and re-enact my all-time favorite commercial:

Another solid Valentine's Day pack. Looking forward to it all. Kenny Loggins and Peter Cetera in the same video game? What a country.

If you have a Tuesday Morning in your area, their Sunday ad showed a bunch of Rock Band/Guitar Hero bundles for super cheap. When I got to mine it was all PS3/Wii stuff, but you might have better luck.
