Within the last 24 hours, the http://error420.com/rbn/ tracker (@rbn_releases on Twitter) has been going nuts with updates. 16 in that time so far.
Looks like the big push to give RBN1.0 an enema has been working as RBN2.0 is about to clog up the pipes yet again, possibly worse now that keyboard and harmonies have to be tested and approved.

Yeah. They really need to link to streams of these songs either on youtube or grooveshark or amazon or something. I'm too lazy to look things up, but would happily click a URL in a tweet to hear a few seconds.
Hell, even a genre (I just assume everything is metal anyway) and year would be nice bits of reference info.

I currently have Lego Rock Band and Rock Band 2. I believe I can pay a fee to export both game's songs into RB3. Will those songs have the new vocal harmony and keyboard tracks in RB3?
Also, I paid the fee to export RB1's songs into RB2. Are those songs available in RB3 or do I have to pay another fee? Are harmonies and keyboards available in those songs?
Thanks

To continue the Lego RB discussion....I've got a code but how in the heck do I get these songs exported? Whenever I go to the RB Store in Lego RB and input the code, I get an error message saying the Store is not available at this time (or some such comment). Any ideas?

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I've got another question. For the heck of it, I went through the calibration process last night with RB3. I wasn't having any problems but I though it could only improve the game. I used my wireless guitar for RB Beatles and held it to my center channel speaker during the audio calibration section. Then I placed it, "string" side facing the tv, about 6 inches from my plasma's screen. The results came back with very little audio delay but something like 54ms video delay. Playing a few songs after that calibration on drums and things seemed out of sync. Should I just restore default settings? If so, how?

1)The code on the game insert, you have to go to the website mentioned on the insert and enter that code to get your actual export code.
2)Once you get that export code, you have to redeem it either on xbox.com or on the dashboard. You don't redeem that w/i the game.
3)Once redeemed, you will download the export pack and then you can go into Lego Rockband and export the songs.

All five are buyers for me. I'm especially pleased to get "Modern Love," one of all-time favorite childhood songs.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Thanks for the calibration tips. There may be something to the fact that I've gotten use to mis-calibration.
Also, thanks much for the Lego RB export tip!

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Sorry more export questions...
1. Do the export codes for RB1 and LRB allow you to redownload those songs from Live! or is it just the key to allow you to copy those songs from the game discs to your HDD?
2. If you do not have your game discs anymore and let's say your HDD fails or you get a new HDD and can't transfer data to the new one, how do you get the RB1 and LRB songs again? Download from Live! or have to get your hands on the game discs again to recopy?
2a. I won't need to buy another export code?
3. How do the track packs work? I bought a code for the Country Track Pack from GameDailyDeals a few months back. I entered the code into Live! and it downloaded the songs. I assume since the songs downloaded from Live! and since I never had a game disc to begin with that I can always redownload these songs when needed?
Thanks

1. LRB - yes, download again from XBL; RB1 - it's just a key
2. LRB download again from XBL; RB1 you'll need the disc
2a. Nope
3. Yep, they're in your purchase history and you can download them again
Basically with everything besides RB1 once you buy the export code and download the tracks you're good to go and you can download them again as many times as you need to for free until the end of time. But with RB1 you will need to have a disc on hand should you lose those tracks for whatever reason.

Wow! I'm very excited about the Bowie DLC. I'll probably wind up getting all 5, but "Modern Love" and "Ziggy Stardust" are no-brainers.

I'm definitely getting Ziggy Stardust. Maybe Fame, haven't decided.
Sure wish they gave us "All the Young Dudes"
Or even a Labyrinth pack!
