Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Depending on your build and how long your play sessions are, it might be worth getting a better one. I was playing on a POS throne I bought on clearance at Best Buy for $15. I'm not a big guy, but it still hurt after only 20-30 minutes of drumming.
I just bought this one:
http://drums-percussion.musiciansfri...one?sku=445666
It's at $90 right now, but you could probably call them up and get them to lower the price (shipping will still be free). I called them and got them to sell it to me for $80. Yeah, it's kind of expensive, but the thing's freaking rock solid & super comfortable (but still firm) and compares to the Roc-N-Socs that go for double the price. I'm a cheap guy (hell, I tried to get away with a $15 throne), but this thing was actually worth it.
You could also go to a local music shop (Guitar Center) and just start sitting on thrones to see what you like.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I was hoping we'd get this Lennon track.
Hey gang,
The holidays are almost upon us, and there are only two weeks of DLC left in 2010! John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band will help us wrap up the year with Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and they'll be joined by an assortment singles from international artists. Be sure to take a closer look at the EU singles, as I'm sure many people will know the Caesar's track, but there's some other gems in there. And don't forget about the Rock Band Network tracks listed below! There are tons of great songs on all three consoles from bands of all types.
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 system (Dec. 21):
John & Yoko, The Plastic Ono Band – Happy Xmas (War is Over)
Anaïs – “Peut-Être une Angine”
BB Brunes – “Dis-Moi” X
BAP – “Verdamp Lang Her”
Wir sind Helden – “Nur ein Wort”
Linea 77 – “Fantasma”
Litfiba – “Proibito”
Caesars – “Jerk It Out” X
(All tracks are original master recordings)
(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation 3 system Dec. 22)
These tracks will be available for purchase as individual tracks on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and Wii. Tracks marked with “X” will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.
Price:
$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song
$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per song
$0.99 USD (100 Wii Points/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade
** Dates for Rock Band game tracks are tentative and subject to change. **

Definitely in for the Lennon song. More RB Christmas music is always a plus. Maybe one day we'll get the Pogues' "Fairytale of New York" (though probably not due to the reference to a bundle of sticks). Or even "Christmas in Hollis".

This might be my favorite day of DLC in 2 months just because I finally get to take a break (kind of - getting Happy Xmas and Jerk it Out).

Family Dollar stores have the Track Pack 2 (PS3, 360, Wii, PS2) for $5.00 + tax. It's not much difference from that price, but you don't have to pay S&H if you just order that alone.

None of the Family Dollars here ever had any of these. Plus, I have Amazon Prime. Also, I hate going outside.

My RB2 drum pedal snapped in half. From what I remember, people recommended getting the Rocker Pedal as a replacement; however, Amazon is out of stock and state that they don't not know when/if they will be back in stock. Is there another place to order it? Or is there a better alternative?
