Are you going song by song or setlists? I just go song by song in Quickplay and I get all the arenas + video shoots.

Song by song and I don't think I've seen a venue very often. I'm sure it happens, but I really only notice the video shoots because they're so damn distracting.

You haven't played enough DDR. I'm completely oblivious to them.

I disagree. I think I played just enough DDR to know it wasn't for me.

Also, does the fact that DDR existed excuse the display choices in RB3?

Not at all. I'm just saying that if someone is used to the spastic backgrounds in DDR, then they would have absolutely no problems with the music videos in RB3.

I've played my fair share of DDR, but still think the music videos in RB3 are annoying. I wish you could choose your venue in quick play (can you choose your venue?).

No, you can't choose. Which is kind of baffling since they patched that ability into RB2. I'm fine with the video venues, but I don't seem to get them as often as others do.

I'm glad to see the Roadie Glitch is getting fixed. I went through a string of having it happen once a session, and it slowed down my desire to play, not my difficulty selection. I've had it less recently though.

BTW: Pro Guitar is just amazing. I've been playing it with my jaw hanging open. They did an outstanding job replicating the real deal.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Here's my list of still needs to be patched (PS3)

1. vocal overdrive impossible to activate
2. keyboard sound screech
3. able to use multiple profiles
4. get rid of AIM, and make it work like it should (biggest failure or the game)

I just wish they'd treat these games more like a multi-year platform, that adds major features reguarly, instead of a yearly dump like Madden, COD & GH. There are plenty of games that developers openly discuss upcoming features and continue to evolve the game throughout time instead of throwing out a disc and forgetting about it, aside from minor patches. see MAG, LBP, ModNation Racers, GT5...

Joel is the 14th, IIRC. 7th is still unknown.

I've seen this mentioned a lot and I have the exact opposite experience. I use the Lips mic and it's too easy to activate. I routinely activate overdrive on accident, probably once every other song. It's hyper-sensitive for me.

Should be noted that I sing on Easy, so maybe difficulty is a factor.

Feels too early for a "Christmas" pack. Maybe a multi-faith holiday pack like they did in aught-eight.

It's cool that the new mobile Rock Band is having RBN tracks ported over already.

I'm on the PS3 and I still have the over-sensitive issue. I play on expert, and I have to turn my head away from the mic to avoid my exhaling accidentally activating OD. I should probably try tuning the in-game's sensitivity settings, though...

That's the main issue here. There are NO sensitivity settings, not changeable.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

So I'm watching last night's Conan and Cake is on promoting their upcoming album and I'm wondering if maybe we'll finally see some of their songs in this game. This song (Sick of You) isn't bad at all, but I'll still be disappointed if there isn't some classic 90's Cake in there.
