The RBB setlist is full of enjoyable songs I'd never buy as DLC (which is the case for all the disc-based games too) but I'm most excited to be able to play Blood Sugar Sex Magik again, plus we'll now be able to play an epic 30-song Foo Fighters setlist.

The investment in having all 30 FF songs is pretty substantial actually. You'll need:

RB1 + import
RB2 + import
LRB + import
RB3 to play all DLC
RBB + (free) import

I did admittedly write "Black Hole Sun" instead of "Spoonman" back then but it was pretty obvious I meant the other non-exportable Soundgarden song and I edited it almost immediately afterwards.

It happened by someone downloading the game off of Partnernet, and leaking it out to the webz.

I believe it was actually a temp or a contractor who decided he was gonna be a whistleblower who would expose the dark underbelly of Harmonix under his now-deleted HarmonixExposed Twitter handle.

He posted the leaked list in the comments of a video game blog and offered some juicy Harmonix secrets to whoever would interview him and nobody would bite.

His big "smoking gun" was that one of the recent title updates had some insidious unadvertised feature and he was gonna blow the whole conspiracy wide open even though it was an already-documented disabling of unofficial homebrew tracks on modded consoles. Oh no, evil!

But yeah, aspirations of being a shadowy Deep Throat-like character (or at least an Erin Brokovich) aside, the dude had a legit list.

It seems pretty stupid to burn bridges like that and basically destroy any possibility of making it in the industry with some leak like that just to get a little bit of recognition. More than likely, he's just a pissed-off fanboy who wanted to out HMX as being "evil", as there are quite a few of those people around.

I've had access to Partnernet at various points, and could see XBLA stuff before release, as well as upcoming DLC for games (including RB).

He offered up his "interview" to an acquaintance of mine, and mentioned the filesize of RB:B, and where the installs of the songs happened as "proof" that he was the real deal.

I like them too, but agree playing 12 bar blues isn't all that an exciting proposition.

On the flip side, this video is just insanely cool. I've never seen it before today.

Question #1: Rock Band Blitz: Are you guys blind-buying it next week for the export into RB3, or will you be trial-ing it first to see if you like the gameplay?

Question #2: Do any of you guys still play Guitar Hero 5 or Warriors of Rock?

Q1: Blind Buying for Export into RB3, most RB add-ons (or in this case ones that are a glorified add-on)with the exception of the Lego game, I've done blind exports. Maybe at some point I'll give it a shot, but this seems very much like a hand cramp-athon, no thanks.

Q2: I'm not sure I ever did ;). I gave up on GH a long long time ago.

I played Blitz at PAX East, so it's not really a blind buy, but I'm buying it without a trial. The game is awesome, and having the tracks in RB3 is just icing on the cake.

And no, I don't play the GH games anymore. I do still have WoR, which I may fire up someday for drums or vocals.

I'll blind buy it for the export. I'm sure I'll give the game itself a shot, but it doesn't look that interesting to me.

I played GH and GH2 for the PS2 all the way through, never tried GH3, and never mustered much enthusiasm for GH4 (although I did get a couple of songs as DLC). Haven't given the series much thought since.

#1. I haven't played RB in months. I'll probably get Blitz to play on it's own then work back into RB3.

#2. GH5 is pretty decent, Warriors of Rock was a step back. I just nabbed it at BB for $5 just to have Jet City Woman (Queensryche) and Modern Day Cowboy (Tesla) since neither artist/song appear to be on the RB horizon.

I would be buying anyway just because I had Frequency and Amplitude for the PS2 and those games were awesome! From the videos I've seen, Blitz looks to have similar gameplay. The export to RB3 (and vice versa) is a total bonus.

Blind buy here as well. More for the game than the songs, those just mitigate the cost. I'm needing a new game since I haven't had any desire to play anything for months.
