My guess is it comes sooner than RB3, because they wouldn't want an album to be partially Pro and partially old-charting (due to Battery).

There's no reason why they couldn't re-chart Battery for Pro and make an extra buck on the album. People would buy it again because fans will pretty much fork over whatever they want to charge for Master of Puppets.

But Battery will be part of the RB2 export/download and since those will likely come directly from the HMX servers in a giant package, it's just as likely some or all of the songs have been updated.

I love rock band but its kinda annoying to see so many songs that have appeared on some variation of the guitar hero games. Would really love to see those get released as DLC rather than on the main disc. I want the main disc to be stuff i haven't played before. However, if they do release the whole Master of Puppets album that would be a day one purchase for me.

so I'm not the only one that thinks Harmonix needs to roll out SOMETHING from Appetite for Destruction on this disc right? I've been fiending to play it since the original RB demo vid had Welcome to the Jungle in it. :(

Supposedly there's a rights issue between Slash and Axl. If that is true, then those tracks will probably never come out as masters for either platform.

They need to make up like Metallica and Mustaine, for the betterment of all of us.

Some of the songs on on 3 are off of the first two GH, before Rock Band even existed.

Amazon appears to have bumped the release date for the hardware/bundles a few days. Hopefully that's just a placeholder because it would be devastating to the fans.

I went to Kmart tonight and checked out their clearanced game section. Several good deals on official RB peripherals. The metal drum pedal with adaptor was $4.99 (but I passed as I'm not coordinated enough to use one, let alone two). They had some straps and drumsticks as well for that price. I noticed they had a two cymbal set labled on clearance price of $11.99. I've wanted to try these out with my Beatle drum set, so I grabbed the box and went to the check out. It actually rang up at $4.99 instead! I've never tried the cymbals, but at that price, they've got to be worth picking up, right?

Anyway, wanted to give the heads up because I know Kmart isn't a usual browsing destination for most of us.
