Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
In case you didn't know, you can do tambo hits now by shaking the Lips mics. Awesome!

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
That's not very rockin' ;)

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Am I missing an option or are the vocals lower in volume in this game? I was signing some songs last night and trying to hear what it sounded like with pitch correction on and I could barely hear my vocals through the speakers. The only audio options I'd changed were turning the real vocal track off, Dolby Digital on and turning the mic volume up all the way.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I've had no issues on the 360 with vocal stuff. In fact, the default settings were too loud for me with the kids sleeping.
Dolby: On Vocal track: default Mic 1 Vol: Down 3-4 notches Mic: Wireless Lips mic No issues activating overdrive or anything. |

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Huh, I guess it's just me. My voice may have already been a bit beat-up by the time I started listening for the vocal correction. I guess I'll have to try it again with fresh vocal cords.
I was using the wired mic since I didn't have any charged batteries. Maybe I'll try the Lips mic tonight - I hadn't heard about the fact that you can shake the mic for the tambourine sections until this morning. |

I'm going to need some of you to explain your band names.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
The stand alone keyboard ($79) and the one in the game bundle ($129) are one in the same correct? Probably both made by Mad Catz as IIRC RB got out of the hardware business. I will probably get the bundle since I can save $10.
Also, are the wireless non-pro guitars still available to buy? I have my one guitar I got with RB2 and a wired GH2 guitar. Would love to get another wireless one. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Another fucked up achievement. Apparently you can only get the The Perfect Drug achievement on drums, but any difficulty. Of course once again, the achievement says nothing about this.

I've got it, so what's your problem? |

Yeah, but like the Face Melter one, it's tied to a specific goal that is listed under drums only.
I've got it, so what's your problem? I'm not surprised it's listed in the goals section for drums, but it's still really stupid and unclear. I shouldn't have to go elsewhere for information regarding an achievement that could simply been specified with a few words in the achievement itself. |

My problem is I only play on Pro Expert, not little girl easy. ;)

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I am loving Pro Drums and the cymbals expansion. Got up to third and sixth place on XBL for some older songs in Pro Expert Drums. That will probably go down as more people start to play the back catalog once the newness of the RB3 songs wear off. :P
Played keyboard for about 30 minutes, and I feel like I'm back to the first Guitar Hero days. Going to take some time to get the muscle memory down. Now I just need the Mustang I ordered from Amazon to get here, but that's still a couple of weeks off. Excited to see what week 2 DLC will be for the 'new' Rock Band now. |

I had a similar experience and ended up having to buy another new copy. Thankfully Amazon was giving $10 trade credit for the game, so it only cost me $10 (I bought both new copies for $20 each).

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Is anyone else completely uninterested in playing a lot of the songs in the RB3 set list? I think I have about 20 songs still that I just can't get past hearing the preview to bother playing. Either they sound like it would be annoying to play, or just boring. I really like about 1/4 of the setlist, but the rest I just feel like they are only decent or worse. I'm probably alone in all this, but I think I enjoy the RB2 setlist more as far as how fun songs were for drums.

You're down to 14th Shag... my children no longer have a hero.

You can use it like an air drum though! It's more rockin' than tapping the head and about 1000x more rockin' than pressing 'A'.
