Your math says 4, but logic says 3.

Spoiler:
If you choose to reset time, then whether you save the dude or not would have no effect on the ending. I'm pretty sure the only difference would be whether or not he's in the painting that shows The Bastion restoring everything. Everything after that would be pre-Calamity so he'd be alive again anyway.

Alan Wake is a definite, and I Am Alive and Warp both look interesting. If those all turn out good, I could see getting Nexuiz for "free" even though it doesn't look compelling to me in the least.

In for Alan, and hopefully I Am Alive if feedback is positive.

every time there is one of these kickbacks for buying all the games, there is always that one game that I have zero plans to buy....this is the first time I think I will enjoy all of the games....and the price is 3200 points for all 4 games...40 bucks...or about 30 since I always get my points with deals...is a great price for these games...

I sort of have zero interest in Nexuiz as well, but if I Am Alive turns out to be a good game, I might very well go all-in on this promotion as I usually tend to do with these sort of things.
Four games for $40 seems like a good deal.

If this ends up being true, I'd rather just cash out than have a $100 balance.

http://www.xblafans.com/rumor-micros...ear-37278.html

Sources are reporting to Inside Mobile Apps that Microsoft will be discontinuing use of its Microsoft Points currency system used by Xbox Live, Zune marketplace, and the Windows phone. A source with knowledge of the company’s decisions are saying that all mobile developers with publishing agreements are being told to plan for the conversion.

This will impact all three platforms where the point system is used although one of the biggest adjustments will be to the Xbox marketplace where some games and extras are denoted in only Microsoft Points. The Zune marketplace and the Windows phone denote purchases in both the point system and regional currency.

The source also reports that any remaining point balance at the time of conversion will be switched to local currency. Microsoft has slowly been introducing cash purchases to the system’s most used platform Xbox LIVE. Full games from Games on Demand are denoted in currency with the points system used mainly by XBLA and the Avatar marketplace.

The conversion will bring a universal system across all of Microsoft’s platforms and bring it more in line with the App Store and Android Market for mobile phones and PSN for online gaming. The system has often been criticized for the need to convert currency to points and the fact that you must purchase a minimum of 400 points ($5) even for a 80 point ($1) avatar shirt.

What's the difference between $100 or 8000 points sitting in your account?

That I only paid $60-$70 for those 8000 points? BUY LOW SELL HIGH!

Oh, and I'm not using them very quickly at all.

I never liked the points system not matching up evenly with dollars..but I like putting my credit card back on file with Microsoft even less.....

I am being lazy so if it is in one of the articles I am sorry...but are they getting rid of cards? Maybe instead of 1600 points you now get a 20 dollar card? I hope they keep cards at least with the new payment structure....I think it will hurt sales if the don't since my kids get a crap load of cards during birth/christ......

No, they'll just be dollar value cards like iTunes or PSN.

Weak ass. We won't get nearly the kind of deals we do on points anymore.

I'm sitting on 4,200 in my account and another 13k in cards. I wonder how they'll handle existing cards floating around. Say they convert my 4,200 to money but I don't spend it for 3 months then I go to put in 4k more points, what happens? Just converts it on the fly? Those 1600 point codes are now $20 codes?

Horrible idea, especially this late into the life cycle of the 360. Do that with a new system, don't introduce it when we are the waning years of something. Point Deals will most likely be harder to come by because of the lack of a virtual monetary format. The only way I will actually like this is if this means Microsoft is going to drop pricing restrictions (which I would imagine would be hell or high water) on DLC and XBLA games (particuarly the latter).

Also, I don't know about the rest of you....if I have 3200 points sitting in my account, it doesn't make me feel as bad as say $40. But then I guess I would be wasting less money on Xbox Live.

Then I'm happy for you. It's a good game, maybe even "very good", but I do feel it's got a little of the Braid and Limbo effect going on where it gets vastly overrated as a game on the basis of its unique and artistic style, as opposed to objectively looking at its gameplay, which feels pretty ordinary to me. Still haven't finished it (can't get past the Anklegator), so maybe I should withhold final judgement until then.

It's definitely style over substance, but it's short enough to not really matter.
