I didn't even realize it (why torment myself with what I don't have)? Just as well. I'm surprised PS2 got another Madden this year, I thought last year would have been it. They pretty much just update the rosters for PS2 and send it out the shelves with a new year on it, but since my last one was 08, there's a lot of new stuff on it. I figure by the time I'm ready for another Madden the PS3 will have taken another price drop (the reality of my economics requires it to drop to $200 or below) so maybe I'll have that.

I'm just kind of coming out of stage with kids where I had no time to play video games, now they're able to play on their own a bit so I can play some video games while they play around me from time to time.

2 seconds to go last night, with my opponent on his own 15 yard line, I'm holding a 4 point lead, the Defensive Coordinator told me to make sure they can't make it to field goal territory

Well once you're in field goal range, you have a shot at the endzone beyond just a hail mary. 2 seconds can be like an enternity for those little digital football players. Clearly the D-Cordinator doesn't think you can handle big picture stuff (like keep them out of the end zone) so he breaks it down and keeps it simplier (keep them out of field goal range). Had he thought even less of you he might have offered up "don't let them cross the 50 yard line".

I scored in a 0-0 game and got a 'he comes from behind to take the lead.'

Still a great game in my opinion.......

I was up big on the Chiefs today (3 TD's) and Collinsworth says something like "Someone might want to tell the coach there's not a lot of time left here" with four minutes left in the third quarter, and the Chiefs already running hurry up.

Uh, what?

Right now I win on All Pro consistently but its competitive, Pro (the default I think) I win like 50 something to 0 or 7 points. All Madden I probably couldn't bet regulary at this point, if at all, but I'll get there.

Well, I guess I quit playing these games years ago for a reason. Bores me to tears. Wish I liked it.

I just beat the Falcons by 4 TD's, threw for 450+ yards, returned a kick for a TD, and had an 80+ yard run for a TD...

The Doritos play of the game? A 49 yard field goal I made

Re: Madden NFL 11 - 08.10.2010 (PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360, iPhone)

my first WTF is going on happened tonight.

I joined an "unranked" game from the lobby. I select the Pack.. and he takes some team he must have created.

Anyhow his QB is Brees, RB Johnson, WR's are fitz, moss, Wayne .. O line and D is stacked big time.

He gets up by like 14 points right away. Then I come back cause he turns the ball over right a few times. And eventually go ahead. This kid, it had to have been a kid, was going for it on all 4th downs.. made some and didn't make some.. I somehow manage to keep in the game and go ahead by 3 going into the 4th..

then he presses pause, then immediately after the pause he throws a pass and the guy breaks like 6 tackles and takes it to the house. Cheats out already for this game?

Anyhow I managed to retake the lead with under a min to go.. get the guy to 4th down, and he punts! WTF?? lol

Anyone notice a crazy amount of missed field goals and extra points by the computer? I just beat Washington 14-13 with a Lienart 25 yard td pass as time expired, but during the game the computer missed 1 extra point and 3 field goals (close ones too). Last night while playing, the computer missed 2 extra points in the same game (comp was the Packers). Granted I'm on the PS2, but I've never seen this amount of missed of field goals before/extra points in a Madden game.

Was it one of those games where if the player quits the CPU takes over?

I was playing Atlanta against Cincy and we were on OT. Cincy missed a 28 yd field goal..thought it was a sure loss

I like the gameflow option but thank god for audibles because some of the play calling is downright bizarre at times. Two examples:

- I'm at midfield with 3rd and 15 and it calls a fullback dive up the middle. What?

- I'm at midfield leading 28-21 with 1:45 left and the other team still has two time outs. And the play call is... take a knee! I go along with it just to see what the next play called would be and of course I get a running play with "we better kill some clock here".

Based on last years playoffs it sounds pretty realistic to me

Sounds like you had it set to "Brad Childress mode."

Yeah, the game is pretty silly at times. I think I might be getting rid of it soon.

I'm playing Atlanta as my franchise and similar to reality my run defense is nowhere to be seen, good thing Vick can't pass (kolb injured). Used free agency to pick up Sean Springs to help my secondary then signed T.O. Ha Ha

I have 4 Doritos "Madden Ultimate Team" codes (x360) if anyone wants them. I have no idea what they are or do, but I don't play Madden so no need for me to redeem them.

Anyone?

Are they 360 only? If not, I'd take one.

There's a feature on the game called "Madden Ultimate Team"; it's kinda like a "Magic: The Gathering" for Madden. You obtain cards with the points, then use the cards to form a team; then you play a game against either the computer or other players for more points/cards.
