Wii wireless without wi-fi? USB Dongle?

My daughter just bought a Wii, and is going back to college in the fall. Her dorm room doesn't have wi-fi, though it is hard-wired for broadband.

In my Google searching I saw that Nintendo once made a USB dongle for WiFi, but it doesn't look like it's available any more. I imagine I could get her a wi-fi modem, but I thought there might be another option.

Is there a reliable USB dongle for the Wii I should be looking for? Or did that concept die off?
