Remember that clicking left trigger autoaims. If you're not doing Deadeye vision, and there are multiple attackers, just keep pressing and unpressing the L-Trigger as needed.

Yeah, and she could have used the code, lied and said it didn't work, and asked for her money back.

Ebay would have refunded her no questions asked. It's ridiculous.

Some people don't use auto aim. I find that using expert is easier since I am used to it on CoD games.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Okay, I'm stuck. WTF am I supposed to do in the mission where you drive the wagon with the two bodies while being chased by treasure hunters? I can't even get halfway there before my horses get shot or I lose them somehow. I've tried going off course and it helped a bit, but I'm still nowhere close to finishing.

Edit: never mind. I didn't have the gun selected so I couldn't shoot them. Duh.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

67 percent done, and loving it....

some of the little details really make this game shine...I especially love the taunts your character yells as you are shooting away...and how he threw in some bad Spanish taunts when in Mexico...lol

I usually don't even notice cuss words in games, but I have to say I paused a moment in Blackwater when a whore told me she hated knowing my cock was dry....that line might actually work in real life!

I chalk that up to the storytelling and character development. They want us to hear tons of dialogue and exposition, but they also want to keep the cutscenes relatively brief. It gets repetitive, but at least you're doing something and not just watching for several minutes at a time. I'm glad they have the checkpoints now so you can start at a later point if you don't do it in one shot.

Thanks. I didn't know about that and I'll try it out. It seems that all I needed was just practice because my shooting has improved and I'm doing it on Expert.

I'm only completed 7% of the game because I'm getting sidetracked by all of the other things you can do like hunting, bounty hunting, games and strangers tasks. For example

Anybody???

One last thing, when are we good to form our PS3 posse? I'll be online around 12 am EST if that's good for anybody after "Lost". I haven't try the Multiplayer aspect of this game yet and I'm looking to try it out. Do I need to stay on the MP Free Roam until people join me online? How does this work?

Really? So you're saying I'll get past what the game has mostly been so far: ride, initiate cut-scene, ride to mission start, repeat. Or rather, 5 minutes of travel for one minute of fun. While that one minute of fun has been great, most of the rest has been a bit tedious.

Somehow i doubt you will get past that at all.

Keep doing the missions with Bonnie. She will give you a lasso.

Based on where the challenge is, I suspect it's a mission with the Marshall.

Well thank yuh kindly.

Right now i found this spot that has respawning deer. I am on a buck slaughtering spree.

edit: It says i have to "Escort the rancher out of the Basin to unlock this challenge." I did all the missions for the Marshall i could at this point. I guess i will hit up Bonnie and then whoever is S on my map and see if that unlocks it.

That's a "Gang Hideout" mission. Go to the mouth of the canyon and there should be a Yellow Dot with the location of the rancher.

I was hoping they would have shot her at the end of the video!

OK, the bird-people video...now that is funny!

I love when this happens. I'm only so far into the game that I've just unlocked Mexico a few missions ago. But wolves are the most valuable animal I've found so far. I've stumbled across several locations so far where packs and packs of wolves just keep spawning. One time I was attacked by what must have been twenty wolves at once - I dead-aimed them all. The packs just kept spawning. After selling wolf meat, pelts, and hearts 50 at a time, I've got more money than I can spend! It feels like I've hunted the local wolf population into extinction.

The first one was easy for me since I remember reading a preview about it. It's Hangman's Noose I think and as I rode through it the name was displayed. It's somewhere around Armadillo I think. The 2nd map I have no clue what it means but haven't really tried after one look.
