I believe it's pretty much the same sort of thing if I remember correctly from going from 3DS to 3DS XL.
I have my fingers crossed that someday they'll simplify their stupid system. I have no clue what I'd do if someone stole my 3DS or Wii U.

And now Jett Rocket II is randomly in the eshop. This is the best day of my life!
There is also a Zelda sale in the eshop now. The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II are both $3.49 each in either the Wii U or 3DS shops. Link's Awakening is $3.99 on 3DS.
For the next 4 weeks, there will be character themed sales. Next week is Mega Man, followed by Mario and finally Donkey Kong.

We're about to be flooded with reviews for A Link Between Worlds - the review embargo ends in less than ten minutes.

Oh Destroid, giving 6.5/10 because it's not magical. There is the outlier I guess.
It's getting anywhere from 90% and higher elsewhere - IGN gave it a 9.4, a 9 from GameSpot which is great from them, lots of perfect scores.
A 9.8 from GameTrailers - http://www.gametrailers.com/reviews/...-worlds-review

THE VERDICT
What could have been an easy sequel that traded on past glories is instead a compelling argument for digging up the foundations of Zelda and seeing what happens - rather like Wind Waker did 10 years ago. A Link Between Words is not a total revolution, but it may very well be the start of one. I haven’t been so challenged by a Zelda since Ocarina of Time, and rarely have I been so consistently surprised by one.
Between Worlds recaptures the spirit of adventure that gave the early games Zelda their potency, and lays out a vision for Zelda games still to come. It invites them - and us, the long-term fans - to let go of conventions that may have been comforting, but were ultimately holding us back. It’s at once intensely nostalgic and powerfully novel, unpatronising and cerebral. As a Zelda fan, I couldn’t wish for much more.

I'm debating getting this or playing Link to the Past first as I (shocking i know) have never played it and will probably miss out on some stuff having not played it.

Start playing A Link to the Past now. I'm sure there will be some connections (of varying degrees) but it's one of the best games of all-time.

Thanks. Downloaded it tonight. Still as fun as when I was 11. I'll try to finish it before the new one comes out. Just wish I could play it on the Wii as well.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!
Really dumb question...
Can 3DS games be played in a standard Nintendo DS? For example, the new Zelda... can I pop that in and play it in 2D, or do I HAVE to have a 3DS or 3DS XL to play it?

Oh. I think my wife has a DS "lite" or whatever... so that won't play it at all. I was hoping it'd still work, just without the 3D (of course), but that's why the 2DS exists, right? I'm not sure I can justify purchasing one of the newer models, despite how much I want to play A Link Between Worlds.

^ Exactly what he said. Seems like a good plan. Especially with the sales on 2DS that will be happening in Black Friday. Also, Cowboom is a great place to get a used 3DS for a great price. I got my 3DS XL off of there last January for about $108...it was graded a 4 which meant if had imperfections...but it was flawless outside of missing the AC adapter. Seems to be the experience most people have with Cowboom.
