That's a nice list. Wonder if we get the same games at the same time.

Nintendo Unveils Deep and Diverse Software Lineup for Early 2012

Nintendo is also introducing an optional accessory that gives Nintendo 3DS owners a second analog stick to control compatible games. The Circle Pad Pro will launch in the United States on Feb. 7. It will be sold through GameStop stores and online at http://www.gamestop.com at a suggested retail price of $19.99. The Circle Pad Pro is a comfortable cradle that holds the Nintendo 3DS system while adding an analog Circle Pad on the systemís right side. The attachment also adds additional shoulder buttons to give it a feel more akin to traditional console controllers. It is designed as an optional accessory and is compatible with Resident Evil Revelations and METAL GEAR SOLID 3D Snake Eater.

I've always wanted to give Fire Emblem a shot, so that's pretty exciting for me. Looking forward to Kirby, F-Zero, and Wario Land as well. Already own Metroid, Zelda, and Mario Kart, but it will be nice to have those on the 3DS too. Overall a much better offering than the NES half IMO.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Registering your Nintendo games at Club Nintendo can earn you download games now.

Until Jan 10th: 100 coins for Xevious 3D, and 150 coins for Mario Vs Donkey Kong. There are also a couple Wii games available, 100 coins for Super Mario Kart, and 150 coins for Fluidity.

New games each month. Pretty nice incentive to register your games. You can also earn points by taking surveys on the games you've registered.

I keep hesitating buying a 3DS because of this. It is almost like Nintendo is bailing on the system.

Don't read anything into this. Best Buy has been unloading games for every system like they're on fire. I think they're closing a warehouse, apparently. Doesn't mean Nintendo is bailing at all.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I did the free Xevious 3D download just now. Registered a few games, and selected Xevious, and it generated a code to enter. Piece of cake. Much better than the previous promotions with the coins.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Totally grabbed Pilotwings when I saw it on SD. I bought the Zelda 3DS bundle and got the gift card a few weeks ago. Then I had the issue of what games to pick and I ended up with Starfox, Super Mario Land 3D, and Mario Kart 7, but I almost got Pilotwings. Way glad that I held off.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

If you're a 3DS Ambassador, there's 10 NES and 10 GBA games you get from that promotion, but otherwise the only classic NES games available to you for now are the 3D Classics versions they sale in the Nintendo eShop.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Codes have been claimed

If there are any club nintendo members here who would like codes for the following games:

Star Fox 3ds
Mario Kart 7 3ds
Super Mario Land 3ds
Kirby's Mass Attack ds

Send me a pm and they are yours. I may not be able to send them until tomorrow depending on the time of request.

Don't feel like jumping hoops to register two of the same game for a "family account"...I can register up to 7 of the same exact system but 2 of the same game I can't do Makes no sense at all

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Just got a 3DS for my birthday, how real the possibility of a new version this year (with an integral second analog nub) ? I see that they are really releasing that funky add on next month.

I haven't opened it yet, but I'd wait if it was indeed coming out.

It certainly seems like a real possibility in the near future. Everyone expects it. But no official word yet.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Box is sitting there taunting me! I wonder how many games would adopt that type of control.

RPG's, platformers, puzzle and racing games are what I played on my DS, so I think it's getting opened.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

Kid Icarus is still TBA.

In Japan, "Fortress Of Fury 2" (GB) and "Super Mario Bros." are out. Nothing about Kid Icarus yet.

Re : Kid Icarus, per Joystiq:

Japanese release of Kid Icarus: Uprising stays put with bundled stand

by JC Fletcher on Jan 12th 2012 10:00AM

When I played Kid Icarus: Uprising at E3, I called the circle-pad/stylus-based controls "unwieldy" and "basically only possible if you've put the 3DS on some kind of stand." (I'm going to pretend) Nintendo was listening, as creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed a stand peripheral, to be bundled with the Japanese release of the game. "Touching the screen works better if it's secured," he said (roughly translated).

Nintendo has yet to make an announcement regarding the stand's inclusion with the American or European versions of the game, but given that this stand was designed to solve an identifiable problem, we'd be very surprised if any region left it out.

Less than thrilling news to me. I was unaware of the control issue before. And it's actually even worse news for me since you're supposed to aim with the stylus in your right and and I'm a lefty -- it feels really awkward holding a stylus like a pen in my right hand. Might have to end up passing on this one.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

So it requires analog-stick input AND stylus input? Of course it would be "unwieldy".

I was looking forward to this title before the 3DS even launched and, now that I have one, I couldn't care much less.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

How they could build a new gaming system in 2011 and not see the clear need for a second analog stick is beyond me.

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

So the device is less than a year old and it needs an analog stick peripheral and a stand to play games? What a fucked up device. Can we say design failure? It's turning into a color version of the Virtual Boy.

Forget the analog stick... a stand for a portable device? What's the point of a portable device again?
