I saw that news story but didn't actually read the 'messages.' Is it spoiler material? I didn't want to risk it.

No. It's not a spoiler.

The posters included in the LE have hidden messages that you can only see with a black light.

Got the last one at my local Best Buy with no issues at all. The only thing was that a little of the slipcase was torn due to the stupid alarm sensors they put around the case.

My Best Buy has started keeping games in a cage by checkout. Luckily, the Bioshock LE's didn't have the "spider" security tags on them, but I still made the guy dig through there and pull out one that wasn't torn.

I picked up the last one at my Best Buy, too. The slipcover had a pretty big tear in it.

Picked it up with a Giftcard ended up paying $35 :up:

I'm tempted to keep it sealed as a collectors item. Anyone know how rare the Special edition is? Worth it to keep the thing sealed?

I picked one up today. Of the four they had they were all torn a bit. Oh well since it is just the slip cover. The box on the inside is what I was worried about. Thanks again OP!!

Is the LE even worth it? What do you get? Some artbooks and a record? I don't even have a record player anymore, LOL. Are there any ingame items that you get with it?

2 posters, art book, a record and a nice box. It's just a collectible for fans of the game.

I thought it was worth it. I was done with the game awhile ago, so after I trade it in today for $40 at Gamestop, I'll have gotten it for $10.
