re: A modicum of moderator make-outs (Bonus Thread: Deadly Premonition)
I will admit that after my initial impression I started to falter a bit in my enjoying the game...driving is really stupid...getting from a to b is confusing at times, and slow...but slowly the game wins you over again, and there have been moments that would be fantastic in any game...no matter who makes it..by the middle of chapter 2 I was completely won over...
Like Resident Evil....I find the combat to be perfect...for the way the game is made to be played....and now that I have unlocked weapons with infinite ammo, and a radio that lets me fast travel...all the problems I did have with the game are gone. (side note, if you do play this...get the smg or magnum with infinite ammo asap along with the radio that lets you fast travel)
I played a lot of games over the last year...and I can honestly say that I am enjoying this game as much as my top 5 right now...

If you do fast travel you'll miss out on the joys of card collecting and time trial races.

I can't stop thinking about this game at work...most people will never experience it because of the budget...some will experience it and give up because of the way it is presented….

Despite my comments earlier about the graphics, after actually watching the videos on demonoid I have to say this game looks hilarious. I about lost it with the huge grin on his face after he goes "There it is, F..K in the coffee, I knew he wouldn't let me down *Huge smile"
Bah though, I only have a ps3, maybe we'll get lucky and get a digital version on live and psn.

can we do it at night? I feel safer that way...
I have no problem loaning games to anyone really though...my work takes me up to the Tulsa area all the time, so if any of the Oklahoma brothers want to borrow a game just let me know, and I will let you know what day I will be up in that area...I have every game I have ever played on the 360...

Finally found a mint used copy for $10. Nearly put my hand through a closed glass case to grab it (the store has only had one used copy in prior and it sold almost immediately).
Need to finish a bit of Dead Space before starting it.

After playing Alan Wake, I was reminded of this thread for some reason. Turns out the game is $14.99 locally for me, so I think I'll be picking it up tonight. Can't wait!

Every time I recommend this game, I feel like I am recommending a sinner's sandwich....

Okay, so I played through the Prologue... which was really bad. Like, "not fun" kind of bad.
But, as soon as I started Episode 1... I think I'm hooked.

Picked this up for $15 on Amazon. I'm about five minutes in and I already feel like I've swallowed a gallon of LSD and then took a hit from a crack pipe. What the fuck is this?!

While yes, I did say to get it - I've never claimed to have played it.
Chuck/Fro will be happy that you're playing it though.

I feel swindled! Here's hoping you end up having really bad stomach cramps! And may your haberdasher ruin your hats!
