So am I the only lucky one to have their save file erased after Sony's PSN fuck up? I go to finish up my story tonight, and all of my saves are missing!?!? It seems to just be this game though, everything else is still there.

Played the DLC today. Pretty intense. Finished it up, went back to the main menu, and now it is reinstalling the main game to my hard drive. I have no idea if it's deleting what I had though. I sure as hell hope not.

Those who have played the DLC... if I won't have the full game in my hands for a week, should I go ahead and play this, or should I wait until after I play the full game? Also, how long playtime was the DLC?

I'm pretty sure you can't play it without the game disc, if that's what you're wanting to do. And I read the playtime for DLC can be up to 3 hours if you examine everything and go for all endings.

Hmm, I ordered two copies of Heavy Rain (one for me, one for father-in-law) and only got one code for the DLC. I better email Amazon.

I played the DLC, you can play it before the main game, it only involves one character. As for the length you can finish it in about 15 mins I'm guessing. What's cool about it is after you finish it, it tells you all the possbile endings and you can play different chapters in it just like the main game.

DLC is a prequel so you could play it before you start the actual game once you get it if you wanted to. It is basically one chapter though. You could play it in about 20 minutes on a single playthrough but there are 5 different endings they tell you about at the end to try and achieve.

I struggled with that too. I was bleeding out of both eyes and about to die when I geoanalyzed the gas receipts and Norman got excited and the scene ended. I spent a lot of time looking at the other stuff because I had never actually used geoanalysis prior and thought it was worthless.

Crap, maybe not. It cut to the scene of the

then back to my bleeding face. So I figured he knew what was going on.

That's pretty much what happened with me.
Spoiler:
It cut to the collection fund, so I figured I could take off the glasses and go investigate the watch there and ask the secretary about it. Little did I know that "give up" didn't mean "stop and go ask around the police department", but rather "quit out of this whole scene". That was a little annoying. Fortunately, without giving anything away, a later scene allowed Jayden to figure out where to go next even though I didn't do the ARI investigation correctly.

Eff that. If a game kills a character because of unclear feedback to the player, I'm going back and replaying that part.

Though to be honest, I only replayed the very final scene because I hated how the story completely changed because of two or three missed button presses.

Don't go in expecting much. The pre-order bonus codes are typically one per household/account, which is something I learned the hard way. The only exception I've ever seen is with God of War.

Re: Heavy Rain -The Official Thread (Launches 2/23/10)

Been playing Heavy Rain tonight, getting different endings. There are definitely some interesting ones. I still haven't gotten Kamikaze though, I guess I will try it on easy later. I have a question though - for the Trial Master trophy, do you have to have a full playthrough to get it? I missed one (Butterfly) and I was going to get it when I do my last playthrough but I'm not sure I can.

Spoiler:
I still need Perfect Crime trophy where Shelby has to hide all the evidence, which will get me all endings as well. But I read online in a guide that Ethan has to get arrested for the Perfect Crime trophy, so wouldn't that mean he can't do the last trial(s)? Can I beat the powerplant one and then play the rat again, would it register? Anyone get Trial master without doing a full play through?

Spoiler:
I got trial master by just loading up the poison chapter and drinking it. I had done the first 4, but got cold feet in the actual game when it came to drinking the poison. After I finished my first playthrough, I went back and replayed just that chapter and got the trophy, so you should be okay. Being as the rat is early on, I'm not sure how it would register though.

My ending...
Spoiler:
Jayden was dead, Mars was killed by the cops, Madison got out of the burning building via the fridge and then killed Shelby.

I read two others and decided that they were too different and i need to replay the game now.
