The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

The RROD issue is an unspoken lifetime warranty. Ive yet to see them charge someone to fix them (as long as the case hasnt been opened). I believe this is their strategy to avoid lawsuits.

So I just went to Target for Toy Story 1&2 and, like always, I swung by the clearance section. They had the 512MB MU there for $20.98. There were no others on the regular accessory rack. Hopefully that means the native USB storage support is true.

Gotta get that out before the USB storage is enabled, I guess. I can't see myself needing more than my 120GB + 2x16GB USB drives. I may move all my RB songs to a thumbdrive if that comes out and only plug them in if I need them.

Unless you have a couple laying around, 16GB drives aren't ultra cheap yet. Two of those will run $60-$80 depending on the brand. Might as well drop the extra scratch on the 250GB drive to avoid swapping/moving data.
For the first few years I was judicious in keeping my 20GB clean, but once I got the 120, I've been amazed out how fast I filled it up. Granted I still have 30GB left, but to go from using 13GB to 90GB was pretty easy.

Well, that's just the maximum it supports. I have a 4GB I got for free from Office Depot a few weeks ago, still unopened. I have a couple more around the house that can be used too. 4GB (or 3.5GB, whatever it works out to be) should be a good way to free up that 120GB a little bit from DLC I don't always need.

True, but I was going off the "Rock Band DLC" part you mentioned. You'll definitely need more than 8GB for all that data.

The 120gb HDD is also getting a price cut to $99.99 "while supplies last".

I don't know why you wouldn't just spend the extra $30 for more than double the space.

While I didn't win any points from the text to win points promo, my gf won, which means that I essentially won!
Hope others did, too!

CRAP!
Of course I just broke down and bought the 120GB drive in January for $129.

I forget, are there some saves/downloads that are unable to be transferred to the bigger hard drive? I did the transfer from 20 to 120 and didn't notice anything missing...

Yeah, I wasn't sure. I knew Sonic was out, but I thought Sega was ok. I just thought it was sweet they didn't preclude male avatars from it just because it's pink.
