Ahhh, gotcha. Thanks. Well that's kind of shitty. I can't get all the trophies without buying the dlc? Is this sort of thing common?

Not sure if it's common, but since you have the PS3 version, I don't think you have to buy it. The code for the DLC is included since the PS3 got "The Divine Edition."

It's a rental. I've never gotten every trophy for a game and I thought this might be the first. Not a big deal though. Thanks

Ah, that sucks. If it's any consolation, it's barely worth the playthrough to get those trophies. Tedious stuff. But it's too bad you can't knock them all out.

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10

Well I just finished a second play through and got all the trophies (except the 2 Dark Forest). It still gave me the platinum trophy even without those 2, although it does say only 97%. My first platinum...I'm so proud.

My second play through took less than 5 hours and feeling a little cheeky I changed the difficulty setting (which was on easy most of the time just to get trophies) to Infernal at the very last second in the final boss battle. So my final save says something like "Game Completed 4 hours 50 minutes on Infernal."

I need help with
Spoiler:
Lucifer- 2nd stage. Is there any way to reduce his health other than swinging the scythe at him for hours on end?

nope not really. it takes a long time. however, strong combos seem to do a little more damage than just random swings.

Shit. BTW, I feel like I'm fighting a Black Porn Star like "Lex Steele" or "Cockzilla".

Anyway,
Spoiler:
you mean like the special Holy and Unholy moves?

The easiest way to beat Lucifer any stage is to equip "Divine Armor". Then equip the relic that makes your scythe stronger. Use scythe combos. It takes some time to beat him, but if you are using Divine Armor it is alot easier. It is an awesome game I have beat it several times on all difficulties

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10

Has anyone had problems with the 360 version? So far I’ve had three game ending glitches. Two at the first “boss” and one just randomly when I was jumping. All before I even hit the very first save point.

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10

So this game is on sale for PS Plus members in a bundle with all the DLC for $15. I wasn't wild about the demo and not sure I'll like it any more two years later, but at that price I'm tempted. Any thoughts about the game? Anyone grab the DLC and is it worth getting?

Do you like the God of War series? If you do, then playing Dante's Inferno is a no brainer especially at that price. Once you start playing the game, you will see the similarity between those two game series (whether it was intended or not).

absolutely, i loved the game. the DLC wasn't too great though. do you get the costumes in that DLC? Disco Dante is pretty funny to play with

Great setting and story, great huge bosses. the demo doesn't really do the game justice -- it only takes you to Hell's gate if I remember correctly. Things really pick up in there. I sold it a while back because i had beaten it several times. However, I do regret it now. I will probably pick it up again soon.

I played this on normal I believe and I think I will try the next or hardest difficulty. The game really was a blast for me.

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10

Thanks for the input, guys. It really is a deal at that price and it looks like I'll be running by Kmart today with my soon-to-expire $15 gaming coupon from Mario Kart 7 to pick up a $20 PSN card.

wlj : It says the bundle includes "All The DLC", so I guess that's all the costumes as well. I don't normally spend money on DLC, so when I got the Burnout Paradise bundle, it was a real treat for me to have the opinion of playing with all these cars and things I wouldn't normally pick up. I assume it will be similar here with the costumes and weapons available. Hopefully it'll make things easier for me from the beginning, which I wouldn't mind at all.

Lorenzo : Yeah, it took like seven seconds of gameplay in the demo to see this game is a total God of War rip-off. Not that that's a bad thing, why not steal from the best? When you're looking to purchase a two-year old game, you're not so concerned about originality, you just want to have a good time.

But judging from the demo, it looks like this is a game I can only play once my kids AND my wife have gone to sleep. She'd never let me live it down if she saw me play a game with huge breasted topless women and giant penis creatures. She already thinks my games are geeky and embarrassing.

Do not play it around kids. The game is on the disturbing side with the imagery of Hell. Also, nothing about it is sexy - the huge topless women will be creepy and disturbing.

yeah, it is 1000000000% not kid friendly. You are heading through each level of hell, it isn't supposed to be nice. There is definitely alot of nudity(male and female) and violent, disturbing imagery.

says you. I spilled plenty of seed fighting that boss.

But seriously, they did good job of bringing the disturbing imagery into the game.

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10

Completed last night. Fuck this game reminded me on great VISCERAL GAMES (007 games, Dead Space series and Battlefield Hardline, the best campaign campaign for that series plus many other good/great games) was.

Everything from this game I loved; great graphics (the fight against Francesco with the blood waterfall!) and enemies (especially those Baraka babies), the audio (screaming and moaning people) and music were . I went all Unholy in my playthrough and maxed out everything and also leveled some Holy before the end. Will do a Holy play at another time. Also did the 50 waves in about 36min, which was so damn easy being able to use my leveled up Dante.

Fuck! another great game that will probably never get a sequel, I could only imagine how amazing it would look now 'cause this one did on the 360.

Beatrice
