yeah i was thinking it had to be temporary. even if sales were not so good the price shouldn't drop this quick. i wonder what the sales figures have been so far? i am wondering if that super bowl ad paid off.

They have a new costume on the marketplace for those who are interested. It is the costume from the recently released animated movie.
I am friggin in love with this game. I am almost finished with playthrough number 3 on hellish. I am having trouble finding all of the relics -- i still have 4 I haven't found. I guess I need to look at a guide to find them in playthrough 4.

$39 at Frys. I picked up (PS3 version) since if I finish it soon enough I could probably sell it to Gamestop (or on ebay) and actually make money.

Re: Dante's Inferno - 2/9/10
I was finishing up Bioshock 2 so I just started playing this last night and got a couple hours in. I love the design and look of the game. Everything else about it feels like a retread, but I expected that.
I had read somewhere that playing on the easiest difficulty basically ruined the experience because it was ridiculously easy, so I started on the next level up (the equivalent of "normal," I suppose). A couple of times I almost restarted the game on easy, because I was getting frustrated at having to repeat the same fights over and over after dying near the end of a section.

I haven't played it on classic(easy difficulty), but I have read a lot of people say you are pretty much indestructible so you made the right decision going up to zealot difficulty. My first play through was on zealot, I found it pretty challenging especially the end. I almost switched it to easy on the last boss, but I was determined to beat him on zealot. It took me an hour and a half to do it, but it felt good when I did. I advise you to level up your holy side a little bit more than the unholy side and get the holy armor magic as high as you can. It will make the last boss a lot more manageable. I didn't do this on my first play through, so I struggled at the end. I am on my third play through now, currently i am near the end on hellish difficulty. This difficulty is very challenging, the enemy's attacks are very powerful and will kill you quick. I am gonna do infernal on play through 4 which is basically like master ninja mode in Ninja Gaiden. I can tell that I really love a game if I beat all of the difficulty levels, I rarely ever do that. It is extremely weird that the designers didn't give achievements for beating each difficulty. I don't know what their thinking was there.

Played the demo tonight... never saw so much tits in a game before. It became so ridiculously overdone... I couldn't believe it.
I just wish all games had nudity in it instead of the rare ones that do and over do it way too much.

if you've played the demo and then the actual game, can you get a good feel from the demo or is the actual game much better? i didn't really dig the demo, but i want a nice GoW rip-off so i don't feel too bad not having a PS3...

If you didn't like the demo, you won't like the full game. However, the game does get alot better once you actually get into Hell. The demo stops when you open the gates.

Yeah, the stars of the game are the Hell circles, or levels (except for the 8th level, which is just a series of challenge-rooms and the last level that was obviously cut short and pretty much only has a final boss battle - it's like they stopped 3/4 of their way through the productions and realized they have to get this out before God of War three and just slapped the last two levels together and rushed the game out). But the Hell levels leading up to that are great; very atmospheric, dense and with a good sense of variety - they're far more interesting than anything in the demo. And the fighting is more fun/interesting too once you gain more abilities, moves and relics which add to the variety of things you can do.

Well, I just beat the game. I like it...but I may have a wait a little awhile before I jump into God of War 3. I think it may burn me out to play it right away.
I've got a couple of questions for those of you that have completed the game. I'm trying to get some trophies I missed.
1. There are 2 different trophies that say something about the "Dark Forest" and I have no idea what this means. One for completing it and another for not getting lost. Anyone???
2. Is there a way I can get back to the 9 circles of hell part in the game without playing through again? I want to get the combo trophy and figure that's the easiest place to do so.
3.Trophy "Burning Eyes" (Send Charon back into the abyss), I'm not sure what this is either. Done (thanks xmiyux)
4. The Damned...I counted 27 in the menu screen, but I never got the trophy. Not sure what I did wrong here.
And the last one...
5.I'm doing the Gates of Hell levels right now and I'm just wondering how many levels I'm looking at. I think I'm on 14 or 15 right now. Done
Yeah, that was more than a couple questions. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I must have still been getting used to the controls at that point. Thanks.
BTW, just ran out of time on level 34 in Gates of Hell. That's annoying.
Edit: Played Gates of Hell a second time and switched to the easy mode. I had ~17 minutes to spare when I finished.
