Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

I just got the Capt.America table yesterday.

I only got to play 1 quick game-I SUCK badly
But it sounded like the audio cut out a few times during gameplay?

Anyone else notice this? or maybe it's supposed to be like that?
Love the gunshot sounds though

Gotta mess around w/it some more.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

My dad called me the other day to inform me that he had beaten my high score in Captain America... then he nonchalantly mentioned that his score was 174 million... and that he had only played the table once or twice before it. Then he said "I really like that table", , no shit?

Did he also mention that he only played for about 3 or 4 minutes? If there's on thing I've noticed from Pinball FX2 players, it's that most of them fucking lie something fierce.

And I fell about 10% short of your score. Got 50M on my first ball but the second choked on a dick. Getting the hang of the table, but I still can't consistently hit the rightmost ramp or the trapped ball in the top center (for sparring, sleeper multi).

I like this table way better than F4. Can't wait for their next announcement.

Yeah..I like the FF table, but the Cap one is way tight all around. Really well done. (Although I agree that the far right ramp can be a total ****.)

Yeah, that's the one. I love the cosmic cube, though. It's like a "lifeline".

I think that Cosmic Cube addition is one of the most brilliant table features they've done yet. The fact that it also fits thematically is just perfect. Love how it completely figures into strategy on the table.

Haha, nah, he said it took him about 20 minutes to get that score. He is an old school Pinball wizard, so he tends to be pretty good at the "virtual" pinball tables.

I don't understand, what does it do other than give you like 1.2million points? I've never noticed anything special about it.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

It also teleports you to a lit ramp or lane to help achieve your current goal.

I forgot about the ramp thing, but never noticed that it puts it at the one for your current goal, that's pretty awesome. Never noticed the ball lock either.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

Zen is announcing the next table tomorrow (they don't specify ZP, PFX2, or MP).

Clue #1 - There has never been a table based on this property
Clue #2 - The setting is a science lab

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

Ha! I just made that same reference to superfro on the Twitters.

The "Splode Again?" question after every final ball-out is rhetorical.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread

Twisted Pixel partnering up with prizes for Zen's contest back in January was kind of a dead giveaway that something was brewing between the two. Of course maybe I just saw what I wanted to see at the time. Course now look.....

It's rumors like this that turn a shitty Wednesday afternoon into a frolic in the flowery fields.

If that's the case then that motherfucker Chainsaw's name better not be in the credits for sound.
