Pinball Hall of Fame: Gottlieb Collection coming to. . . XBLA?
From their Facebook: "GREAT NEWS PINBALL FANS....Pinball Hall of Fame: Gottlieb Collection is coming to XBLA January 2011. This is the first time Gottlieb Pinball will be available to the Xbox 360 community. The HD graphics are amazing and it will include all the same tables as the previous Wii version. More info to come." The tables included in the Wii version are: • Ace High (1957) • Big Shot (1974) • Black Hole (1981) • Central Park (1966) • Genie (1979) • Tee'd Off (1993) • Victory (1987) • Play-Boy (1932) • Xolten • Love Meter • El Dorado City of Gold (1984) • Goin' Nuts (1983) • Strikes n' Spares (1995) |

HOLY FUCK SHIT FUCK! That's awesome! Pinball Resurgence!

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
I sure hope that a page or two has been taken from PFX2's leaderboard integration. Anything less than that for pinball now would lick my suck-stick.
|
Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
I played a ton of pinball during that era but none of the names of those tables are striking any bells with me. What would have been the biggest name table from that group?
Also, I think the Marvel tables have really set a new bar of awesomeness. |
Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
The bigger ones are probably Tee'd Off, Black Hole, and Strikes N Spares.
|
Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
That's great news about the Gottlieb Collection. MWB, did you mean to include a question mark in the title of your post? It sure sounds pretty definitive. I wonder how much it'll be. I hope not more than 1200 points.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
Jason, I have to ask since maybe I don't understand the calculations, but how is your Wizard score so much higher than everyone else's? Mine is around 19K and your is around 600K. It says something about having friends that have high scores as well. Is that the case or am I missing something in the calculations?
Call it pinball envy. Oh and Liver...check your Blade score and your Rocky and Bullwinkle score...beeatch! |
Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
The Wizard Score is your Superscore plus the total of all your Friends' superscores multiplied by the total number of tables you've played. The more Friends you have with the game and the more tables you buy, the higher your Wizard score is.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
Is it the wizard score you have to increase to unlock the second avatar reward?
|
Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
Yeah, I think it was based on my Rocky & Bullwinkle score early on that I had a few people send friend requests that at or near the top on pretty much all the tables. When I looked the other night, one of them had a Superscore of around 2,500 and the other had a Superscore of around 30,000. Your Wizard score is your Superscore + all of your friends Superscores all multiplied by the number of tables you've played. Since I have all the the tables, mine gets multiplied by 17.
Mine as of right now is: (885 + 35,544) * 17 = 619,293 |

Definitely not in your score though.

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
So, I got the Marvel tables and played each one a couple of times. Somehow I got 2 achievements on Blade without knowing what I was doing. So far, I quite liked Spiderman and Wolverine. I am a little colder on Blade just because it can be hard to see the ball at times and it transports the ball across the board so much. I am not so much a fan of Iron Man and its weird ramp angles.
I also need to spend more time with R&B. I really want to be able to talk trash to L&O :( |

Re: The Ultimate Pinball Thread
I honestly could care less about others scores at this point. I'm constantly just trying to do better than my performances, which are nowhere near the tops. I had previously assumed L&O had Aspergers, but his Leaderboard scores prove it. I have no choice but to assume that's the case with brianluvdvd as well.
