Asked this at CAG, and I was told it would work, but just to get a second or third opinion:

I might jump in provided I can use my $40 PM'd Fallout 3 GOTY I bought this week as one of my games that I grabbed for this sale. Would BB let me do this because I PM'd it and the deals won't overlap, or would all I need to do is return it, rebuy it with PM (Not interested in other $60 games right now, so the idea of buying one $60 and two $30-40 titles isn't such a good deal.) + Other game for free game?

I'm guessing it's a YMMV, and it wouldn't hurt to go and ask the clerk, I'd just like to know if there's very little chance so I won't waste my time.

As far as DJ Hero, it might work, since you'd be spending more than the price limit, but the store probably won't give you a copy of it (or any game over $59.99) for free.

I'm definitely getting Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank. Gears of War 2 GOTY might be a good third choice. Something else may jump out at me while I'm there, though.

Uncharted 2 and Ratchet are beckoning, but I have a friend that already bought/beat Uncharted so I could just borrow it like I did the first. Damn these sales are tempting.

I would assume that a pricematch isn't eligible for another deal, or if they did, since you paid 40 for it, that would be the free game.
I'm looking at Batman, Borderlands, and Beatles Rock Band. I was interested in Brutal Legend but I keep hearing the letters RTS bandied about in reference to it. I'll need to watch a gameplay video, I really want to like it, I love the concept and the atmosphere.

I'm thinking on Brutal Legend for the third one, but I think it can get a drastic price drop pretty soon...

At least at my store, it rang up:

FIFA 10 $59.99
Batman: AA $0.00
Borderlands $59.99

So there might be hope for those who want to do placeholders, but it wasn't the last game that rang up free. (I returned my original set of games to get Batman instead of U2, since I haven't beaten U1 yet).

I went looking for a some $20-$30 fodder and came up empty. Maybe a bigger BB would have cost me money.

I did see several copies of the PS3 version of Rock Revolution for $2.49

Check your receipt. Batman and Brutal Legend are now $53.99 as part of a Halloween sale. Says online only but in store pickup is now back up.

Any of you wanting Brutal Legend, Batman and Borderlands are in luck.

I did it online this morning. I was going to wait for Tuesday and pick up Forza as part of it but the BB closest to me usually gets picked over pretty quickly and there was a good chance there'd be little left come Tuesday morning.

Ended up with Fifa, Lips, and Borderlands. Debated over that and NHL 10 for 15 minutes, not totally convinced that I chose wisely.

Dang....I just traded a game for Batman, and my BB doesn't have Brutal Legend..so if I were to get Borderlands and Beatles, nothing else is jumping out as the 3rd one.
I'm actually thinking about Lips, my Rock Band mic is dead, but my WalMart has the 2 mic edition of the first game tagged at 50.

Addressing a PS3 recommendation earlier, Valkyria Chronicles is a fantastic game. BUT you can apparently get it at Wal-mart (maybe K-mart) for $19.99. So check there first before using it on this deal.

So, I almost punched a BB manager and cashier. Picked up 2 copies of Borderlands and Wii Play. So I get to register and I tell the cashier online, Borderlands is listed at $53.99 online and that I wanted to match the price. Some **** of a manger comes over and goes "I checked online this morning, it's $59.99." So I asked her if she could go look again, since I just looked at it and it was definitely $53.99. So she gives me this look and disappears for a few minutes. She comes back and adjusts the price without even saying sorry. Then, she puts the price of my third item as $.01. It's supposed to be free! WTF? Then, I ask the cashier to only take $50.00 off this gift card I had, so I could split payment. She rings up entire thing on gift card. I'm like did you even hear me? She and another cashier tell me they can fix it, but I tell them I'm not going to bother with their incompetence any longer and I walk out of the store.

Yeah, in that situation it's best to walk away. The chances of them crediting the right amount (if at all) back to your gift card are very slim.

yep. plus i was getting very visibly upset, so i didn't want to be that guy that causes a scene in the store.

I did take a survey based on the experience and wrote about 10 paragraphs in the comments section so I'm expecting a call from BB corporate at some point.
