Which $30 or under game should I get?
I have a $25 Gamestop GC burning a hole in my pocket. My pref system is PS3, and these games will be played single player. I don't currently have XBLA Gold. I own PS3, 360, Wii and DS.

Do you do most of your gaming at home or on the DS. If it is DS, Layton in a heartbeat. If at home, Uncharted.

I've never played it, but since you prefer the PS3 and everyone seems to have a raging hard-on over it and it's imminent sequel, I'm voting Uncharted.
Is there any chance of a combo deal with Uncharted 2 when it hits that might make more sense to wait for?

Uncharted is awesome, but it can be beaten in a matter of 8 hours and has little replay and no multiplayer. This close to the sequel, it might be better to rent or get used off ebay.
Mass Effect has a lot of gameplay in it and your play-through will affect your character in next spring's sequel. That might be worth springing for.

Well, I traded in some games and got:
Uncharted
skate.
Dark Sector
and used my GC on:
Mass Effect
And still have some credit left .

Mass Effect is pretty cool. There are so many ways to play it. I just finished my 2nd run-through with the same character and I have a 3rd to go.
Meantime I experimented with some other character classes and began to realize how different of an experience can be had. There's a lot of game there if you give it the time and attention it deserves.

I've also played most of those. Left 4 Dead would be my top choice. Closely followed by Ratchet & Clank, the PoP. I was also a big fan of Uncharted. But its short and doesn't have much replay value.

wow - great choices. i voted for uncharted, but you really cannot go wrong with L4D, mass effect, or even saints row (but i would vote for the 360 version over the ps3 version for no good reason other than personal multiplatform preference).

Send me $20, and I'll ship you a mint copy of Mad World.
That said, I voted for Uncharted. Phenomenal, absurdly underrated game.

I guess I'm in the minority. I played halfway through Uncharted and haven't touched it in over a year. It was decent enough, but nothing mindblowing. I'd easily place it behind Left 4 Dead, Fable II, Ratchet & Clank and Saints Row 2.

In what alternate universe are you living where Uncharted was underrated?
That being said I voted Ratchet, I enjoyed it slightly more than Uncharted but I somehow missed Prince of Persia when I voted. So my vote would go, PoP -> Ratchet -> Uncharted.

I see the anticipation of Uncharted 2 is affecting the poll. I'm eagerly awaiting part 2 and have already put in my pre-order. That said, I voted for Fable II. And this is coming from a someone that doesn't own an Xbox and only played the game 1 night. Uncharted was just too short and had no replay value, more of a rent in my opinion.

Re: Which $30 or under game should I get?
I meant underrated in terms of sales and of public awareness beyond internet nerds. Uncharted should have been a system seller IMO, and it wasn't.
