Best basketball game?
 

I want to get a new basketball game. The last one i purchased was nba street 2 and before that it was nba 2k1 for dreamcast. How was NBA 2k9? I saw it's only $30 at best buy. But it doesn't matter if it's an old title as long as the gameplay is good on it.

It depends whether or not you care about updated rosters like Rookies, Traded players and Free Agent signees. I have NBA 2K9 and it's a great game, but since the 2009-10 NBA season starts in a few months, NBA 2K10 and NBA Live 10 are coming out in October.

IMO, since you haven't really bought any NBA games recently, just wait until October 6th, pay the extra $30 and get a fresh and updated game with the most current NBA rosters.

btw i decided to get 2k9. I had a $10 gift card so i actually only payed $20. Loving it so far. Is there a way to turn fouls off?

The 09 games are going to be cheap now since NBA 2k10 and NBA Live 10 are going to be released in October.
