I'm in! Re-reading how the Slam Dunk thing works, I don't think I used it very strategically.

I can't do any worse than I did in the last sports sheep .. answers coming :)

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

Try as I might, I don't understand the slam dunks. You say that it increases your multiplier... but what if you use it on a question without a multiplier?

Groucho 08-18-09 02:25 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

Default multiplier is x1, so using it on those questions would raise them to x2.

Huh. Okay.

I'm going to send in my answers shortly.

pinata242 08-18-09 02:29 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

Then they have a x1 multiplier. That's called the Identity Property in Mathematics.

I'm in, but I still don't get the scoring. Good luck with that Bus!

Crap. I forgot to use my slam dunks, and given Bus's "no resubmitting" rule, I think I'm SOL.

 Please, Mr. The Bus -- will you make an exception for a fellow Sheepmaster?

Drexl 08-18-09 03:25 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

I forgot the slam dunks too (only played a couple of these before, with no SDs). Oh well.

Not so much a master anymore.

The Bus 08-18-09 03:33 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

The Excel file makes it a bit more clear: each question has the Multiplier identified.

Also, slightly OT, but remember the ol' draft games? There's an offshoot of that in Movie Talk going on right now:

Challenge: The last couple times were incredibly fun, to the point that it could never be duplicated!

Perhaps, but if we try Groucho... if we try we just might.

With 65 posts after only a few hours of the questions being posted, I think we're off to a good start.

I'll send mine in this afternoon if it's not too late. I wrote them down on paper on my desk at home. Don't close me out!

Unless you've posted in this thread (jdpatri), have run a Sheep game before, or have participated in a lot (5+) of the Video Game Sheep before, consider this game closed. It will run sometime this week.

QFT.

I may change my mind. Feel free to send in if you missed {sd}s but don't hold me to actually applying them. I may, I may not.

In a Sheep first, it seems about 1% of non-joke answers are incorrect.

orangecrush 08-19-09 02:06 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

When were the multipliers added to the last 3 questions? That zombie question is going to probably hurt me.

The Bus 08-19-09 02:20 PM

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 9 — Wolves at the door

They were always there on the Excel file. I just put up the Qs in too much of a hurry.

You don't need to worry though.

(Yes you do).

That's my problem. I never look at the excel file.
