Re: Which Game Should I Buy - Oblivion or Fable 2?

Oblivion - Can play for hours and hours, and way more in depth.

Fable - I beat the entire game in about 5 hours, and it was easy with very little depth.

Fallout 3 - Its Oblivion, but no magic and horses...just guns Really good.

Sacred 2 - I'm currently playing the hell out of this game...it's Diablo crack! Great game!

Of the 2, pick Oblivion by a mile...Fable is a little kids adventure game. Otherwise, pick Fallout or Sacred.

Sorry, but if you flew through Fable 2 in 5 hours and complain about the lack of depth, I don't think that's the game's fault.

Maybe Oblivion was just a little too big for me, and too open ended. I didn't like having 20 quests going at one time, some of which were "Find 25 of these things throughout the world." Combat, especially spell casting, was also a little clunky to me. Also, apart from a few instances, I didn't really feel attached to the characters or the world. I'll probably go back and finish, or at least work on it, some more, but right now I'm working on some other things in my backlog.

Cool, thanks for the info. I might wait on Oblivion and get Fable 2 instead.

Umm, there is nothing to it, hence the beating it in 5 hours or so. I thought that was pretty obvious. If it was more substantial and had stuff to do, it would not have taken me 5 hours.

You did all 48 quests: which includes 50 Gargoyles, opened every Demon Door, and obtained The Daichi Legendary Weapon via the Cullis Gate Quest in only 5 hours?

Impressive!
