Where's SSX?

Has anyone heard anything about SSX? When are we going to see a new game?

SSX 3 was one of the best games on the PS2. But the series seems to be MIA this gen.

Re: Where's SSX?

I think this is just one of those series that reached a saturation point and ran its course. I enjoyed the series too, but I must admit that there were just too many installments too quickly. I'd give it 2 to 3 more years before we hear anything about a new SSX game, if there is even going to be one.

Thankfully SSX 3 is backwards compatible on the 360. I popped in this game just a couple of days ago. It's still a really fun game. I'd love to see a new installment running on the Unreal 3 engine.

Re: Where's SSX?

I don't know how many hours I spent playing SSX Tricky in high school. I love that freakin game.

I thought the Wii version sucked though

Re: Where's SSX?

Tricky was just about my favorite game ever and by far got the most play out of any other game I have ever owned. I hope for a PS3 installment.

Re: Where's SSX?

I think the biggest problem is that the extreme sports genre seems to have faded away. The king of those games was Tony Hawk, and it's become irrelevant.

I just got Skate 2 for the kids the other day and we've been addicted ever since. Very fun & frustrating game.

Re: Where's SSX?

I'm pretty sure the EA Big games are done for now. IE Def Jam, NBA Street, NFL Street, Fifa Street and SSX

Re: Where's SSX?

That sucks, because NBA Street Vol. 2 and SSX 1 and 3 were probably 3 of my most played games from last generation. Right now, I would just settle for an SSX collection.

Re: Where's SSX?

There is a game this generation that plays a heck of a lot like SSX and is almost as fun: PURE. It's not a true substitiute for SSX, but it is certainly worth checking out.
