Both are classics that are still enjoyable today. But Zelda was the first game I can recall playing that provided a true sense of adventure, with a large world to explore.
Also, I'll never forget the feeling of finishing the game only to discover that I could play it through again as an almost completely new game, with everything in a different location.
So yeah, that one.

I think Punch-Out has a much higher replay factor, but Zelda was so fucking epic that the franchise has been sustainable for 20 years. Punch-out on the other hand has had to wait for a revival to be relevant again.

Very tough choice. I think I'd normally pick Zelda, but went with Punchout since you all mentioned it was behind.
