If this was against any other GTA game, I'd pick that, but for some reason I could not get into Vice City - just didn't like it's city, and that's the main draw of the game. GoW, was awesome and still fun.

I will be a little surprised if Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) is beat by a game that almost didn't make the tournament.

COD4 - not close.
SMB3 - - Tough one because Prime is great too, but SMB3 is Mario's best game.
Star Wars - Never was an Unreal fan.
Super Mario Brothers - Damn I wish Silent Hill 2 got a better matchup but it can't beat Mario.
Tomb Raider - Yeah I know it doesn't hold up but I was never into Chrono and played Tomb Raider constantly.
GTA Vice City - Was addicted to it.
SMW - Another tough one but I'm a mario fanatic.
Diablo 2 - Fond memories of this.
Zelda - One of the greatest games of all time.
Bioshock - Ditto!
Doom - This was the game in junior high.
Shenmue - Not a huge fan of either, but Shenmue gets it.

Not that many more. There were quite a few "play in" matches and each "group" was limited to 5 matchups before. With the new limit of 25 poll choices, the number of groups will be fewer.

Quite a few close matches still. I am surprised that Diablo 2 isn't dominating. Apparently it didn't suck up as many people's lives as it did mine.

I never cared all that much for Mario while Silent Hill 2 is one of my favourite gaming experiences ever. Sad to see it performing so poorly but I can understand why.

I refuse to believe CoD4 is as fun or innovative as PoP: Sands of Time. Then again, I primarily play games alone and not online over and over and over again.

The difference in CoD4 was that it "went there and did that" far better than anything that came before. A refined game based on proven gameplay trumps innovation almost every time.
