I was getting tired of PGR4 and decided to switch it up with Split/Second and it’s just what I needed. I miss the boost button as well but I can see why it’s not an option in this game since it would make it too easy to stay in first place. I’m on episode 5 and so far the game seems pretty easy. I love how chaotic the races get with shit blowing up everywhere. I haven’t tried any of the other modes yet but plan to once I finish the season. I also disliked Burnout Paradise so this seems like the closest thing to come out since Burnout Revenge.

Overall, how was the DLC? Is it worth it?

Any word on a sequel?

Black Rock games is no more, so I assume Split/Second is one and done.

I still wouldn't mind getting the DLC, but I am still waiting on a sale.

Well that sucks. A few tweeks and the sequel would be even more kick ass. Oh well, at lease we have a new Burnout game coming soon. Oh, wait....

So Ive been playing this and Im on ep 5 and yea the game fucking rocks and I love it... but holy shit do I hate those fucking timed races where everything goes off around you. I cant get first! EACH ONE I do Im 3 seconds short. I race perfect levels and dont mess up but yet I cant get first. Thats bullshit, the game is flawed! Am I missing something? Tips? Help?

Also, the music is terrible. I wish it had custom soundtrack, Id be be as happy as a puppy with two peters

Yeah, those time trial things are aggravating. The best I can recall is waiting until you open up the fastest cars, and even then you have to have a perfect run. Now that you mention it, I think I left a single race because of it.

Yep, the music sucks. I remember using custom soundtracks on the 360 frequently.

It's all about drifting. After a good drift you get a little speed boost from what I remember.

Yea cuz faster cars dont help. Its a pre chosen car so it fucking blows. The game is really ruined by this shit. I mean its neat and all but when its too difficult that its not fun... thats a problem. I drift but I always seem to slow down instead

Is there a code where I can just unlock all the cars and tracks? I dont care about trophies or beating it all, I just want everything for the 2 player mp

If I remember right, choosing the right shortcut also plays a big part in your time, some of them might not necessarily be a faster router? It's been a while since I played. Also drifting might hurt you at times if it means you are hitting walls, you will lose a lot of time every time you hit a wall hard and lose your top speed.

The funny this is that when you race the same levels over and over, you know which explosions will help win, when to hit them, and if theyre for show or damage. So the races are easy. Im on ep 12 and will beat it tonight. I just have about 7 timed levels that I CANNOT GET 1ST!!!! It must be drifting and hitting walls, but I find myself saying "Goddamn Im glad these fuckers are out of job and never make a game again!!" Yea, I get angry...

Good tip. I spent last night finishing the final episode and got the 6 timed levels I thought were too hard. And one of them was!!! It took me a fucking hour to beat ONE stinking level. Fucking idiots and this bullshit game. My fingers still hurt from playing. Good thing I have no life this weekend or I would have just given up and moved on. Oh the glories of having no money.
