Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I downloaded Dead Money since it was on sale for $4.99. I just got through setting off the fireworks in the bell tower and I simply can't make it back to the fountain. The map is so damn confusing, and there's dozens of those ghost bastards. Doesn't help that I only have a couple of stimpaks and end up having to backtrack alot because the level design is bullshit.

That was the same problem I had. Once I figured out where I was I just ran from them and eventually made it back. I did have to kill a couple on the way but for the most part I just ran.

Yeah, it's not that hard. And you don't have to fight the ghosts either.

Once you figure out the map is really straight forward. If you can't, just check a map online.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

you can avoid them by staying above the street level. also equip a bear claw trap and melee the ghosts with it.

The trailer leaked, and has been pulled down already, but expect the next DLC "Honest Hearts" to be announced this week.

Cool, any idea if it will be for the 360 first? Or will they release the 360 and PS3 at the same time? ( I bought it for the PS3 )

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

all future DLC are supposed to be released simultaneously. not that it matters, since the PS3 version is basically unplayable.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what's unplayable about the PS3 version?

I'm sure this has been mentioned many times before, but I hate the Cazadores

Dead Money is a pain in the ass. I haven't been enjoying it. It's hard and just really not interesting at all.

Cazadores are the hardest enemy in the game. I can sit far away and pick off Deathclaws but Cazadores... such a pain in the ass. Load up on anti-venom is all I can recommend.

I pretty much agree with this. Didn't really enjoy it at all, although I did feel like there were a couple of interesting things that slightly redeemed it. But it's not something I'd ever play through again.

Incendiary ammo with the anti-material rifle usually takes them down with one shot.

Finally beat Dead Money. It had some decent parts to it but I was disappointed. I wish there were options to save your crew.

If you are not up there in levels yet shoot their wings off. It really helps take them down. After focusing on that I didn't find them as much of an annoyance.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Yea, going for their wings has made them easier, but they are still a pain in the ass. These damn things not only have a ton of hit points to take them out, but do alot of damage AND poison you. So annoying.

I've been going through my second playthrough so I can beat the game supporting the NCR, Yes Man, and Mr. House. Beaten it independently and supporting the Legion.

I haven't beat it, or picked a path yet, but I was under the impression that Yes Man was the independent finish. could be wrong...

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

^ you're correct, my mistake. The "No Gods, No Masters" achievement is for siding with Yes Man and that's the one I've unlocked.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Just got the extremely tedious "Legend of The Star" achievement. I've gotten everything except the achievement for beating the game on Hardcore mode.

Has anybody here done it? Is it as tough as I think?

I think I was 13 caps away from that achievement.

If you mean the hardcore one, no, not that hard. It's an annoyance is all. Just do only what you have to do and get to the end asap.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I didn't think hardcore mode was too bad, I had injured limbs almost the entire time and I played on easy..... Just keep alot of purified water and stimpaks on hand and you should be fine.... Playing on a harder difficulty would obviously be more challenging, I was doing it strictly for the achievement so easy was the way to go.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Apparently 1.05 patch for Ps3 is available, don't need PSN to update. Early reports on bethesda forums say it has fixed the constant crashing & freezing.
