yes I did...shit...I started out on easy thinking it would be hard...and a few hours in raised it to normal, then hard...I guess that messed it up...

Oh well...I will come back some day...I read one dude had a 4-5 hour guide on a speed run...might try that.

Loving this game level 17 with ~40 hrs played and I have not even hit Vegas yet!
The crashes really suck though. And I agree with eveyone it is harder than Fallout 3. I am really sick of those flying bugs the Cadzones or something like that really tough when there is a swarm of them!

Wow!

I just hit Level 26, around 60 hours I think, playing in Normal. Haven't tried to continue the main story.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Argh, more freezing and instances of the game just flat out quitting to the PS3 menu for me, right at the end too. As much as I loved this game and Fallout 3, I'm reminded again why I sold Fallout 3 a bit after I finished pretty much all of the main missions and DLC. The constant crashes are unacceptable.

Also, maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but it seems I don't have any of the normal weapons that are pretty strong for the level I'm at (26 I think). I have a gattling laser but ran out of ammo, have the Tesla Gun, but it's low condition and am out of ammo, etc am I just too low a level or am I just not looking in the right place? I also haven't seen those NCR guys from the game cover yet too so who knows.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I have not beaten the game yet but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what the DLC might be like? Also, weren't we supposed to be able to drive vehicles like Mad Max?

I think I remember the vehicle rumor as well. I wonder what happened?

You might not be looking at the right spots. What normal weapons do you have? At level 26 you should be able to buy light machine guns, Brush guns, Riot shotguns, Marksman carbine/anti-material gun. Along with some unique guns that are fairly easy to get (Sweet plasma unique/Laser uniques in a couple of fairly easy locations). That machine is particually easy to get. Oh Gauss Rifles can be had by the beer shack (Not sure what level it changes from shotgun to guass rifle). Also BoS has Gauss Rifle (if you go good and get the store with them down the road) or you can be like me and just kill them all and take them. 180-200 DM, 375-450 DPS

Ammo is complicated..you have to wait in game time before you can buy more ammo.

DLC: I'm thinking Burning Man, Grand Canyon, New Canaan one of those

Vehicles: I think that was discussed very early on, but hasn't really been on the radar in the past year.

I was initially looking forward to that, but I'm not sure how well that would have worked. It seems like it may have been so different that it would have become the focus of the game.

I'd be happy with a Mad Max-style game set in a Fallout-like world. This is dating myself, but something like Autoduel for the C64, but obviously with vastly improved graphics. Doing courier missions between towns while fighting off car gangs, stripping parts of off defeated enemies' cars, etc. I'd be up for that.

It was something that was tossed around (according to some article) at the very early start of the game.

I think philosophically they didn't have it in the game. Imagine if you had vehicles, you would miss out on exploring and discovery

If anyone figures this out, please let us know. I'd love to be able to try that out, but can't find the code...

edit: turns out it's impossible, according to some of the PC gamers. Maybe it'll be activated in future DLC.

Where is that? I saw two guards when I entered but no one selling. Maybe I should just go back to Goodsprings and sell. My ammo is so low.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Nasty bug. I can go to the Strip anymore. My game dies, it just goes black every time that I try to enter.

This is the first time trying to go there with Raul, is that a known issue?
I've gone there in the past, several times, but with the other human companion, the one from Primm (?)

I've gone into the strip with Raul with zero problem. Hopefully you kept a few past save files so you can roll back without without having to restart!

Wear an Old Cowboy Hat when you enter the strip. Seriously. It works.

It's related to the Caleb mission at the Atomic Wrangler.
