Yeah. Bayonetta was amazing. LOVED the hardest difficulty. I played it so much that by time, I was fuckin badass w/ the mechanics of Bayonetta. Still haven't played 2. But I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to.

Just be sure to crank up the difficulty when you do. Bayonetta 2 on its default difficulty is a cakewalk compared to 'Normal' on the first game. I only died once the entire game, and that was because I made a dumb jump and fell into lava. I didn't have any need to rely on lollipops anywhere near as frequently I did in the first game either.

A remastered version of Bayonetta has also appeared on the Microsoft store for Xbox One, releasing on February 18, 2020. It's listed as having 4K graphics and 60fps - the same as the PC version that released back in 2017.

Anyone getting the upcoming remaster of this and Vanquish? Running 60FPS, visuals, etc. I have both digitally from 360, but wondering if worth the upgrade. Also, haven’t played either, but want to...

I’m interested but not champing at the bit, just because this would be my third copy of Bayonetta, following the 360 and Wii U. I’m more interested in Vanquish, a gift I didn’t fully appreciate however many years ago I got it. That was before I’d gotten to be a fan of Platinum Games, and I’ve been itching to revisit it since. This seems like a perfect opportunity, although I'm not sure I want to bite at $40.

I dunno. Only had 360 Bayonetta but never played it. Seems like female version of Devil May Cry. No? Have both digitally on One, but never played either. I think $20 a pop for remastered graphics and 60FPS sound good. Plus, I get a SteelBook...blah. And even though I hate physical copies of anything, had some Amazon gc...

Remasters not done by Nintendo drop in price like a rock. I can wait easily for a deep sale. Plus I already have Bayonetta 1 remastered along with Bayonetta 2 Remastered for the Switch. The sequel is way better.

Could we get Bayonetta 2 on Xbox ever or is it strictly a Nintendo owned product now? And since when does Nintendo do such violence and maybe sexuality in Bayonetta. Don’t know much about Vanquish...

Don’t Hold Your Breath For Bayonetta 2 On PS4 And Xbox One
By Michael Briers @briersytweets 5 years agoIf you were holding onto that faint sliver of hope that Bayonetta 2 would arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One further down the line, Platinum Games has some bad news for you. In an interview with Nintendo Everything, the studio’s Hideki Kamiya stated that the Wii U exclusive will be tethered to Nintendo’s home console indefinitely.
“As for Bayonetta, we developed the game after signing a deal with Sega. Later it was decided to also develop the sequel, so we started working on Bayonetta 2. As I have said before, if you want Bayonetta 2 on PS4 or Xbox One, how about trying to ask Nintendo? If Nintendo doesn’t say yes, it’s not going to happen. While you’re at it, try asking for Mario and Zelda too.”
Given that the original Bayonetta — which launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010 — is now available on Wii U, some fans of the third-person hack-n’-slash title hoped that Sega would bring the sequel to multiple platforms eventually. However, now that the game is one of Nintendo’s outright exclusives, it seems as though the titular witch won’t be going anywhere soon.
By this stage, it’s public knowledge that Bayonetta 2 simply would not exist without the financial support of Nintendo. Despite being met with rave reviews upon release, the original game simply failed to ticked the right boxes and warrant its franchise potential on Sega’s financial sheet. And so, everyone’s favourite Umbra Witch looked set to be a flash in the pan.
Thanks to Nintendo, though, the IP was given another chance and given that the sequel is already available in Japan, early reviews have beginning to weave their way online, with the likes of Famitsu awarding it a 38/40.
Bayonetta 2 will launch simultaneously for North America and Europe on October 24th, 2014.
