Anyone ever heard of WET (by Bethesda Softworks featuring Eliza Dushku)

I just got an e-mail from Amazon to pre-order this game and I must admit I never heard of it.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...0650900_snp_dp

I tried looking up some info on it but all I turned up was this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_(video_game)

Looks promising but I must admit I'm more than a bit confused.

Isn't that the same wikipedia link I posted?

Anyhoo, the only other two links I found are the following: http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/wet-returns

Oops, for some reason your link cuts off the last parentheses and mine's doing the same. Weird. Went ahead and just deleted the post.

But yeah, I've heard of the game and was hoping Activision would pick it up from Vivendi but alas, no luck.

Odd. I wonder why it's doing that to the link.

It's too bad the game is in limbo. It looks very promising and the coverart Amazon has on their sight is badass.

Thanks for the video link, stingermck.

I remember watching demo footage from E3 of this on G4, while they also had Eliza Dushku on being interviewed about her voice work for the main character....being a Buffy fan, that's about all I remember about this game, but it did look pretty bad-ass!

Oh, and the developers name is A2M? And they're flagship title is called Wet? Sorry, my mind is in the gutter.

Game looks badass.

For some reason embedded shockwave videos don't show up in posts for me.

If more girls played games then guys...the title of this game would take on a new meaning.

For some reason every time I see the title of this thread I glance at it and think you asked if we have ever heard of WTF? and I am like WTF?

I can't see Michael Corvin's video either. All I see is this: size="1" style="color:#D1D1E1; background-color:#D1D1E1" />

Why did I never think of that?

I know a couple of girls that do play games and used to "play" with each other. That other meaning would definitely apply to them.

They should roll with that in the ads: "Eliza Dushku is WET"

Yeah me and friend have had that joke since A2M worked on the Iron Man game since it was rather ass to mouth

That was a great video. They should include that as a bonus feature in the game.

Since there is soon to be an Uncharted movie, you suppose this game will get an adaptation if it becomes a hit? Maybe they should get Dushku to star as well so they can crosspromote with Dollhouse.

I really liked the demo. It really is just a glorified Max Payne/Stranglehold game. Which is fine with me. All the different ways she can fire her guns are pretty cool. The sword is a nice touch as well.

Fun game.

I thought the demo was pretty awesome. The first time through I was terrible with the controls so I did a second run through and thought the game was badass.

Meh, I thought it was just another generic 3rd person action game with crappy controls. I was going to rent it, but now I don't think I'm going to bother. Especially with a lot of other games coming out in the same time frame.

Re: Anyone ever heard of WET (by Bethesda Softworks featuring Eliza Dushku)

Yes, it definitely reminds me of Stranglehold which is not a bad thing. It does have a nice 70's grindhouse sort of vibe going for it. Unfortunately the graphics are quite outdated and the game does get repetitive pretty quick. I really can't see myself paying more than $20 for this title which is fine since it'll probably drop in price fast.

Re: Anyone ever heard of WET (by Bethesda Softworks featuring Eliza Dushku)

I thought the demo was just awesome, I didnt find the graphics to be bad, and just thought it was alot of fun, I loved the music too made the action scenes just to be so bad ass, felt like a scene from a movie. I loved when the screen turned all red, just awesome, controls werent bad at all, I dont see why anyone would complain, they were really simple.

I thought this was one of the best demos in quite some time, Gonna have to pick this one up when it comes out.

Started playing this beyotch last night, the demo's opening was the same opening as the game...I haven't hit the Rage mode yet nor the driving sequences, but then again I'm only about 30 minutes in...but I do like I can buy upgrades.

This game is pure awesome and just what I wanted. I like how the 'film breaks' when you die. I just earned the shotguns, which is good.
