Is the game any better than that demo? Because that demo sucked balls.

Sorry I had to drop off early, but I've been battling a cold for the last couple days and have been trying to get to bed earlier.

I dropped out early because the wife was willing to play Rock Band. At best that happens once a month.

Man, I wish my wife's once-a-month was more like that.

Trust me. It's not a substitution situation.

yes, for the multiplayer, single player is very ordinary, but I'd wait for the price drop. I'm sure the number of douchey players will drop off after black ops comes out. the killsrteaks are not overpowered but they do surprise the hell out of you.

The demo I played was only multiplayer. Weapons were VERY limited and didn't really impact individual tactics, forcing everyone into sort of a twitchy-grunt role. Also, there was no ability to tag your opponent, making the proximity map worthless. The maps were all blah and the characters blended right into the blah. Suffice to say, I hated the multiplayer more than even that Dead Space 2 garbage. And that was really crappy garbage.

Flip, if you're considering a first person shooter, please go with Black Ops.

I am considering... I'm enjoying my time with B:BC2 and wouldn't mind finding another to dive into afterward. The Black Ops videos have me interested. I can't get into the Modern Warfare stuff... but this seems more to my liking.

I know they say this every year, but it looks to be more balanced. They've added certain game types that negate cheap play tactics like spamming rocket launchers, or running around knifing everybody. Plus, you can join our Thursday game when we switch over. :D

Weapons are still limited but not as limited as in the demo. It is easy to loose track of someone in the maps and there is no tagging of enemies like in BFBC2. The maps aren't as bad as the limited maps in the beta. It is still a twitchy game but tactics do come into play as a good team can wipe the floor with a bunch of unorganised douches

Plus I guarantee you'll love the custom match customization and the new modes. If you are enjoying BFBC2 stick with it and then go get Black Ops.

It looks like they'll be nerfing the quickscoping snipers and the MLG drop shots. Accuracy will play a bigger part in winning a standoff (MW2 comes down to who saw who first)

You too could be part of buying Call of Duty every year!

Yes, for only $59.99 (plus three $15 map-packs...tax title and license...your mileage may vary) you could be a full fledged bag of dude-bro douche!!!

Nice dig...but seriously. I paid $40 for Warhawk (with the crap headset) and have about $18 invested in the DLC. I'm still guessing that hour for hour, it's the best value I've ever gotten in gaming. Borderlands might be catching up.

Speaking of...Chew, I got the patch for Borderlands...seems more challenging. If one of you other dickbags were to get the Ultimate Ed in the Amazon B2G1 sale, it's about time we rolled a Friday night crew of 3 or 4. I still have dibs on the siren!

Now that the patch is out, do you want to take on the new DLC with our Hunter/Soldier combo?

I can play tomorrow.

Yes and no. I played for maybe a half-hour with that hunter last night, and 1) I leveled up very quickly and 2) I didn't really like playing the hunter compared to the siren. I do have a 61 siren I could roll though.

I'm also not all that interested in the new DLC. Weren't the reviews kind of weak?

I wouldn't mind picking up our Brick/Siren combo for the game proper.

Nevermind...got the GOTY edition on the B2G1 sale while it was $50...figure I can sell the regular edition for $20 or trade it for something and it will be like getting the last two DLC packs for $15. Plus I like the idea of having them on disk rather than on my hard drive.

So yeah...let's roll through that when it comes in the mail. I still want to use my siren though.

As far as I know the DLC will be download codes, not on disc.

If so, I may have some download codes for sale.

No PS3 for me yet, they cost $500 here, and games sell for $100-$120. Best thing thing is the aussie dollar in on par with the US dollar so we are getting truly raped.
